Last night was our first visit to Zoma. We wanted to try something different for dinner. So we tried Ethiopian. The restaurant has a great atmosphere very homie. The food was great. We tried the family platter so we could try multiple things. It was very delicious. The staff was very friendly and kind. We definitely are going to go back again..

Meh. Not planning on returning.
Portion sizes are disappointingly small for the price. They load you up with injera to compensate for the insanely tiny portion; again, tiny for the price. Don’t bother ordering extra injera like you used to have to—they’ll give it and the portions are so small you won’t need extra.
The samosas are TINY compared to the picture; about the size of a child’s palm and you only get two. Found a green bean stem in my green beans, so not much for quality control.
The “spicy” level of the dishes (we got the meat and veggie combo) is just an oil, but there are few actual flavoring spices. Sort of letting the heat do the spice instead of, yknow, letting real spices spice and flavor the dish.
Not at all the quality of food I remember eating here years ago. Meh.

Outstanding experience! The service was top-notch, and the food was simply amazing. With plenty of vegan options, my girlfriend and I enjoyed every bite of the 4 veggie combo. Generous portions at reasonable prices make this place a must-visit. Edit: visited again with friends and split both the appetizers and the big platter portion. More than enough food, again amazing service, and VERY delicious

We had the Zoma Special Combo and man was it great! The chickpea stew was my favorite! You can’t go wrong with a side of ginger beer too! Was seated as soon as we arrived. This place gives you the feeling of a small, quaint nook while eating on a patio. We loved the aesthetics! Can’t wait to come again!!

I have no experience with Ethiopian food at all which led me to go along with my girlfriends suggestion. Having tried a family style dinner for four it gave a good overview of the cuisine. Except for the chicken, and the remarkable coffee it just wasn’t my thing. The rest of our group really liked the food. The price was fair and everyone ate their fill too. I thought service was slow considering the place was all but empty when we visited.

This place is fantastic. The service is friendly, helpful, and efficient. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. The food is easily among the best in Cleveland. Everything we tried was excellent, and they have a large variety of vegan options. You cannot go wrong with this one!

This place is so lovely with the grass hut decor and really cool tree inside, all the pretty basket lights, and the carvings and paintings. The food is so interesting (first time trying Ethiopian cuisine) and has fantastic flavors! We got the Zoma family combo so we could try many items. My teen daughter was thrilled that she got to eat with her fingers 🙂 Definitely will be back!

Fantastic service and fantastic food. Since my go-to Ethiopian restaurant closed permanently, I started searching for another local place for delicious Ethiopian cuisine. I found Zoma, and the flavors were outstanding ! We ordered the samosas for an appetizer followed by the Special Combo and it did not disappoint. Plenty of injera and the serving size was enough to feed our party. Thank you for a great experience- we will definitely be back!
