Social Profile:

An old-fasioned circa 1930’s -1940’s ice cream parlor that makes sodas, sundaes and cones the old fashioned way. Have your cup of coffee made fresh in a French Press. Lunch menu includes sandwiches, homemade soup and chile. If you are old, it will take you back. If you are young, you will love the difference. Hiker’s welcome!

Good ice cream place. Ordered Brownie Fudge, chocolate shake both were great. Wanted to have warm waffle so ordered Waffle with fruit and ice cream, waffle was bitter and was crumbling, could not eat the waffle. Will still go again but will not order waffle again.

Lovely Victorian era setting for an ice cream parlour AND inside the Historic Castle Inn! We had a banana split and changed the strawberry for coffee ice cream…and it was perfect! Our server was quick to serve as well!

Take a minute to step back in time. Great place to stop for a bite to eat or some delicious icecream. You can recieved a discount if you’re riding the pocono trolley tour which makes it even better. Great service.

Second visit here and it is superb. Last visit was for a shared cone and this time was for a sundae with sugar free chocolate syrup, walnuts topping over vanilla and strawberry scoops. The gentleman is kind and polite. I like the cafe because it provides an antique look and it’s a quaint atmosphere.

I’m an AT thru hiker who also happens to be vegan. This place has great vegan options, including a vegan breakfast scramble and some vegan ice creams. I heard from my non vegan friends that their non vegan options were good too. Friendly service and a cool atmosphere.

This place was bizarre. I guess it gives you that old timey ice cream parlor feel. As soon as we walked in we were hit in the face with the smell of onions. Not really appealing when you are there for ice cream. It is a “cafe” as well. My 5 yo and 3 yo loved the little table for kids and played with the table setting and creepy dolls. The other strange thing is the woman who seemed to be cooking kept coming out of the kitchen and training the girl behind the counter. It was awkward. The ice cream was good but go somewhere else. The charm is not worth a visit.
