My review is long overdue but I wanted to get the names of the two great employees that make my visits here so much better ! Angel and Adrian are truly the best! I’ve become a regular here and I constantly recommend this pocket cafe to my friends and family, specifically the iced creme brulee latte! Its perfect everytime. And these boys are so sweet, i genuinely get a little sad when i go on days they dont work! My brother and I are big fans of this latter and these employees keep up the good work <3

Best hot chocolate I ever had. Not too pricey either. Love the culture inside as well. I’d come back to try other items.

Cute little cafe in the library. The barista is so nice and the drinks are delicious. We got a Mexican mocha and a crème brûlée latte. They also have a pretty big stock of pastries and grab and go food in the fridge. There’s a nearby parking garage if street parking isn’t viable.

I love Zocalo in San Leandro but the coffee at this pocket cafe tasted like dirt. There was only one barista and a pretty long line of customers, fortunately I ordered in advance of my arrival. But even then, she didnt start making my coffees until I showed up and the phone notification I got gave a 30 mins wait time before heading over to pick up — nobody wants to wait 40 mins for coffee.

Ordered ahead to-go 2 drinks and the barista waited for us to arrive before putting the drink together fresh. They had the order essentially ready but waited for us to make sure it was hot and fresh. We appreciate that.

What a pleasant surprise to go here. The coffee was delicious, barista was very sweet and the baked goods (made onsite) were done to perfection – for my taste. Definitely worth the trip.

Zocalo has the best coffee, so tasty and delicious. However, this morning, I ordered a piece of quiche and it was good, not great. I looked at my receipt and saw I was charged $17 for a piece of quiche. I verified that this was the correct price because when I first saw it, I thought it was seven dollars since everything else on the food menu was between seven and $10. This is a ridiculous price to charge for a piece of quiche, regardless of any egg situation.

This is a cute spot on the corner near the library. I appreciate Zocalo because it’s local business, but spending $4 on a small cup of COLD coffee and $8 on a pastry is ridiculous.
Sorry not sorry.
Also, there is no seating inside of the cafe.
