Breakfast at Zippy was ok, not crazy about the food and cashier wasn’t cheerful and willing to answer rather than “no”. Even it was Saturday morning but not busy at all (maybe delivery I don’t know) big pick-up order ahead of us and that it. I like to try local food but sometime if it is not delicious it is not. We had breakfast and eggs set and Korean fried chicken. None of them worth the price I pay. The potion is big, but the test is bland.

Felt like a Hawaiian version of fast food. We got the popular zip meal that Included chicken, soam, fish, a d steak woth rice. It was super delicious for fast food.

My Uber driver suggested we try Zippys since we were not happy with another restaurant. My wife had the spaghetti with Chile and absolutely loved it. I had the chicken plate and thought it was good. The chicken was crispy but not greasey, and the potato salad was nice and creamy. The chicken was nice and moist but could have used a little more flavor in the coating for my taste.

Korean fried chicken plate is the best, freshly made, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Tastes great. Beef plate is tender with big portions bit too sweet for my taste. Avoid the wonton noodles soup, the wonton wraps were falling apart taste dry and stale , texture like paper towels. It’s a fast food setting, self service and the order is on the slow side.

Where Has This Chili Been All My Life?! A THICK styled Chili, best eaten with crackers as a side or with a hot dog as a dish called “Chili Frank”. this is NOT a soupy chili, this is more akin to gravy… It’s Meat Sauce version is used as a Spaghetti, and I highly recommend that dish as well!
Finally, if you’ve the room for it, they have a soup called “Portuguese Bean Soup”, I strongly suggest pairing that with their Fried Corn Bread, you will not regret it.

Food was okay. Front of house service was satisfactory. The problem we had was the ceiling was leaking and only half the dining room was open so there weren’t a lot of tables for the crowd. Because people were eating in the section that was closed off (no sign was posted), we found a table seat from the area where the ceiling was leaking and started eating there. Then comes out a guy from the back who kicked us out as if we should have known that area was closed off and guess what he had in his hand. A sign saying that area was under maintenance. Luckily we found a table on the front section but then here is the kicker. HPD rolls in to buy lunch and guess where they went to eat their food after they got it? To, in the closed off section and even worse, right underneath where the ceiling was leaking and did the guy tell them they can’t eat there? Nope. I’m a big fan of customer service so the least I look for is to be nice to your customers which he wasn’t. Anyways, food is consistent across the board, but this particular Zippy’s, not so great on the service side. If your are looking for a decent bite to eat, then this location will be fine…just don’t expect “great” service.
