I had the pleasure of visiting ZIPPS while in the area for a client meeting.

I decided to grab a quick bite and ordered a hamburger with fries and a Coke.

Here’s my experience:
1. The service had a bit of a delay today, but I appreciated the staff’s effort.
2. The hamburger was enjoyable and hit the spot!
3. While the fries didn’t meet my expectations this time, I’m looking forward to trying them again on my next visit, as I’ve heard great things about them!

Overall, it was a nice stop, and I’m excited to return and explore more of the menu!

Zipps Sports Grill is always a reliable spot, but the Zipparitas make it stand out even more. They are incredibly refreshing, perfectly cold, and have just the right mix of sweetness and citrus to keep you going back for another sip. They pair well with the casual, upbeat environment that Zipps is known for. The staff was friendly, the food came out quickly, and the overall vibe was exactly what you want from a neighborhood sports bar. Whether you are stopping in to watch a game or just want a relaxed place to enjoy great drinks, Zipps delivers consistently. I will definitely be back for another round of Zipparitas.

This was the second is its location that I have tried. My previous experience at a Zipps establishment was disappointing. Since this one was in an entirely different location I decided to try it.
This location was a little more modern. I only ordered appetizers to see how they are prepared and how they tasted. I ordered a mix-and-match basket of onion rings, sweet potato chips and french fries, chicken wing basket and chips with salsa and guacamole.
Mix and match basket was good, so was the chips and salsa, but half of the wings were dry. I decided to order their nachos. It was a big mistake. The cheese was rock hard, as if it was sitting there for hours. The only part that was edible where the vegetable they put on top. I know a lot of people don’t go to sports bars for the bar food, but they should make a better effort satisfying ALL their customers.

Solid food. The chicken sandwich Cajun style is excellent. A nice sized chicken breast that is tender and juicy with some crisp lettuce and tomato. The Wisconsin chili is decent. The chili is a bit too spicy for my taste but has plenty of meat and flavor. The service was a little slow even though the place was pretty quiet. The server was friendly but was absent at times and it took an inordinate amount of time to obtain a check and get cash out after giving out credit cards. $5.00 Tito’s is insane for them area and Zipps tends to play good 80’s – 90’s music.

Decent atmosphere but took 45 min for apps and food. Not busy. Food came out and sweet potato chips are legit leather. Can’t even eat them and fake I like it. Slow services mediocre food. Hot honey chicken sandwich was good.

Lily was super sweet and attentive, especially impressive for her first night with so many big tables. While our food and checks took a bit longer, she handled everything with patience and a great attitude. The delay seemed to be on the bar’s end — my friends red beer was never made, and there was no communication to her about it. There was also a small charge mix-up she kindly offered to fix. Overall, Lily did an amazing job under pressure, and we really appreciated her kindness and effort!

Party of five, food was disappointing. First time ever had Zipps, I’m from out of town. My fish sandwich was mostly batter. The fries were undercooked and the sweet potato chips I think were sitting in the heating window too long because they were very chewy.

Went to watch football, called ahead and they assured us the game we wanted to see would be on. Sat next to a group that wanted to watch same game and had already asked twice to change channel. Finally after both tables asked multiple times we finally got the game on, only to have them turn it off at halftime. Ordered a non alcoholic drink to start with and was brought a cocktail with alchohol. When I asked she said there was no alchol came back and said there was and if I really wanted her to take it off tab she would. Not only did she not take it off she upgraded to a premium spirit. Service was extremely slow. Management clearly doesn’t have the experience to run this location properly. Ended up leaving and went K’Odonnells where we received excellent service.

This place is incredible and the heart of Scottsdale with the great prices they have for happy hour and their everyday food menu.
Ron the manager, introduced me to a lot more things on that menu.
LILY AND LOGAN ARE THE BEST TWO PEOPLE IN A VERY BUSY FULL SERVICE BAR. YOU NEVER HAVE TO WAIT FOR DRINKS!

This is your average neighborhood sports bar; Loud, dirty, busy, and with many TVs showing variety of sports. So far so good, and you woukd be right to think so, but all is not as it seems. The tables are a bit stickier than one would like, and given how busy they are they are understaffed, so the relatively friendly employees struggle to deliver good service. Happy hour ends at seven, and daily specials don’t start till eight, so woe be to you I’d you order in between as you will be stuck with full price. Even if you order before seven, the busy servers might not right in your order till past seven, and you get charged full price anyway, with no notice of this. Check your bill, and tip accordingly. Or vote with your dollars, and go elsewhere. Plenty of domestic beer on tap, but only very bland and uninspired craft selection. You can do better elsewhere. Specials aren’t that great, unless you drink domestic. Go to the source, as Scottsdale provides a plethora of better options.
