I guess I wasn’t a fan of cheesesteaks because I hadn’t eaten a good one until now. To me, they tasted like over-cooked teriyaki style meat, with liquid cheese. Don’t get me wrong, I like liquid cheese but not in a cheesesteak.
ATMOSPHERE:
Typical city setting; long and narrow shop with simple decor and a TV on the wall.
FOOD:
Cheesesteak
Got mine topped with grilled onions & mushrooms, lettuce, and real cheese (provolone.) It was really good and really big, but I ate the whole thing, being the pig that I am. The meat was tender and flavorful, and the roll was soft & fresh. Ordered a side of crinkle cut fries with salt & pepper.
SERVICE:
You order & pay at your window and the food is supposed to be delivered to you, but my sister-in-law went up to get the food. The guy taking the orders, not sure if he’s the owner, was great. At first glance I didn’t think he’d be that patient & friendly, but he was. Don’t judge a book by its cover!
OVERALL:
I know the rivalry is between Gino’s and Pat’s, but my spouse who is a Philly native likes this place way more. And that I’ll stand by!

Wow, my family and I are visiting the city. We were walking around looking for a pizza spot close to our hotel and spotted this one closer than the other one google was taking us to. I go every Saturday and Sunday to get there pizza which is delicious. Today pizza was very different it was Mac and cheese pizza. First time trying it . I recommend if you are a pizza lover like me try the Mac and Cheese pizza. They have so many different kinds of pizza. I don’t eat regular cheese or pepperoni pizza no more. I try all the different flavors.

I highly recommend Zios. The owner, Giovanni, welcomed us to his restaurant like we were extended family. The pizza is second to none and the garlic knots are amazing. I went to Zios with my son and friend. The highest of accolades to Giovanni and his awesome staff.

The pizza was pretty good but there was a lack of soft drink size options. I’m not about to guzzle a liter of soda for one damn slice. Should sell cans in this economy.

This is my second time going to this pizza spot and they do not disappoint!
I love their pizzas and the marinara sauce is so on point! The perfect balance of all the flavors.
My margarita pizza was thin and crispy at the bottom but not charred or burned and that exactly how I like it. It didn’t get soggy and maintained the crispiness the whole time.

I ordered this pizza and requested no mushrooms. While I’m very pleased that they did not put the mushrooms on, I didn’t want chunks of tomatoes which are not the same as sliced, as it says in the description. (If you’re eating vegetable pizza, it makes a difference, just so we’re clear.) Also I’m pretty sure this is chopped frozen spinach which leaves a weird taste. And I don’t taste any garlic at all. I’m quite disappointed.

Lots of options to choose from and you can add toppings if you want. Perfect crispness on the bottom/crust. We came here for dinner 2/3 nights of our stay in Philly and wished we had it the 3rd night.
