I had breakfast here with a dear friend for the first time Monday. Several of my buddies have raved about the food and the service, and I can see why. The place is simple, clean, welcoming, and unassuming. The service is superb and the food is fantastic! Natasha was our server and she’s wonderful. This is the kind of place that you want to come back to again and again. The eggs were excellent. The ham was tasty. The hash browns were crispy. The pancakes were perfect. Who could ask for anything more?

Summer of the best pancakes I’ve had in NC, and I’d consider myself a connoisseur. All the breakfast food was delicious, but the pancakes were gigantic and amazing – we were on vacation and I will definitely return. Everyone enjoyed their food, even our picky eater kids.

I have the pleasure of working right next door to one of the best cafés on the East Coast—Ziggy’s Café in Havelock. Being from the Midwest, I know my diners, and this place is as close to home as it gets. The food is always excellent, but if you’re looking for next-level sandwiches, Ziggy’s takes it to perfection. Golden, crispy crust, cooked just right—you can’t go wrong. I highly recommend dining in to get the full experience because, depending on your drive home, taking a sandwich to go might soften that perfect crunch.
Their Reuben? One of the best I’ve ever had. The Pilgrim sandwich? Incredible. Their chicken salad? Next level. And don’t even get me started on their award-winning chili—some of the best I’ve tasted. Breakfast here is simply phenomenal, so whether you’re craving a hearty morning meal or a satisfying lunch, Ziggy’s has it all.
But what truly sets this place apart is the people. Huge shoutout to Rebecca, Natasha, and Ashley—some of the best waitresses I’ve ever met. Once they get to know you, they remember your name, your drink, and your go-to order. That kind of service is rare, and it’s what makes this place feel like home.

Food was just average. The chicken sandwich has American cheese on it which was a little odd. The mushroom, bacon, Swiss burger was just okay, could have used more seasonings. The fries were bland. The service was great and everyone was super friendly.

Easily my favorite breakfast joint ever. The last time I went though, the staff was acting…somewhat odd towards me. I was polite and I don’t believe I was rude (I had a shoulder bag, but I placed it between my feet so it wasn’t in anyone’s way). But I could tell the staff was nicer to the other patrons. Still, their pancakes are easily the best I’ve had. IHOP, Cracker Barrel, Denny’s, Waffle House, I’m sorry, but Ziggy’s pancakes stands above all of yours.

Best Breakfast Burrito I’ve ever had. The Grits were Delicious, and the Coffee tasted just like Hawaiian Kona Coffee. This place has been here for Over-40 Years, and has a successful formula for making it work. If you are looking for Great Food at a Great Price, come here.
