Ziggy’s in Plymouth has such a prime location — right on the main waterfront strip. This also makes it a great spot to stop when you’re walking around downtown or after dinner vibes. The view of the harbor is beautiful, and having everything within steps is definitely a plus.
Now about the spot, Service is friendly, and they’ve always kept the place clean, especially during the busy hours. I’m a local so I’ve been going here for years..but I just so happened to go on a summer, Sunday night, and it took quite a while to be helped. It seemed they only had 3 people working which seemed unusual considering how busy it gets, and was. Lately, I also feel like the ice cream quality has gone downhill.. My milkshake was super watery, which was disappointing, especially for the price. Everyone else in my group ordered simple, classic flavors and said theirs were decent, but nothing special. Overall, the atmosphere and setting are great, but the ice cream and speed of service just didn’t match the expectations I used to have for Ziggy’s.

Cute cash-only ice cream spot (with an ATM nearby if you need one). There were 2 employees working when we were there at the end of last month. The line was long and I was surprised at how fast it moved.
We chose to split a fried oreo sundae. The oreos were good, but not the best we have had. The sundae, overall, was good but not necessarily worth the $15 we spent after tax and tip. That may be a reflection of what we ordered, but I also feel the size is rather small for the price.
Overall- pleasant employees, quick service, cash only establishment with okay icecream and higher prices.

Yesterday we went to Ziggy’s Ice Cream Shop in St. Plymouth, MA. I asked to try some ice cream and was told they didn’t allow to try any ice cream flavors. I asked for mint-flavored frozen yogurt. The mint flavor is super strong, so I asked to change it, but they said no. The person treated me poorly and rudely. I don’t recommend anyone visit that ice cream shop. I had to throw it on the garbage …

This is next level ice cream! The Oreo alone cone was worth a second trip. My family went on and on about the strawberry. Friendly service that greet you with a smile. If you’re looking for a sweet treat while visiting then Ziggy’s is worth the stop! Cash only, so keep that in mind.

It’s such a great local place to get ice cream and a yummy snack or lunch. I went for the ice cream and waffle cone. I went with the Soft serve infused ice cream, coffee, and black raspberry mixed in the waffle cone. It was yummy. The waffle cone wasn’t the best waffle cone I have had around this area, but it’s still pretty good. I definitely recommend trying this place out while enjoying Plymouth downtown.
THIS PLACE IS CASH ONLY

We were looking for a hot fudge sundae and after a little googling, we found Ziggy’s menu with Fried Dough Hot Fudge Sundaes. Fortunately, although the menu details indicate this sundae comes with vanilla ice cream, you can choose any of their well over 20 flavors. The fried dough was huge and the portions of ice cream and toppings were also really generous and high quality. We found a table right out front to sit, eat and people watch. We’ll be back to try the fried oreo hot fudge sundae

We ordered take-out which consisted of chicken fingers, waffle fries and a BLT which came to almost $40. The gentleman making the food was using his bare hands to touch the bread (I did see him wash his hands after), the waffle fires were so well done they could break your teeth, the ranch dressing tasted almost like tartar sauce. I did get an orange sherbert freeze which was yummy and the staff were very pleasant so that is the two stars, but avoid the food.

Ziggy’s has endless flavor options— but you aren’t allowed to try any of them. I understand this is likely to prevent people from “trying” 10 flavors without purchasing anything. However, when you have 20+ flavors, I think samples are necessary for curious customers. I got the “butter crunch” after being denied sampling, and was pretty disappointed. It had the flavor profile of a heavily salted caramel. Luckily my boyfriend was with me to swap for his milkshake (which was super watery). Otherwise, my scoop would’ve gone in the trash. If I could’ve sampled a few options, I’m sure my experience would’ve been much better.
