Great experience at Zia Maria in Chelsea! The food and drinks were fantastic, and the vibe is cozy and perfect for a relaxed meal in the city.

Huge shoutout to Pedro — he was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. Top-tier service.

I had the mushroom pappardelle pasta and it was absolutely delicious — rich, well-balanced, and cooked perfectly.

Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the neighborhood. Can’t wait to come back!

Vibe – Cozy Italian spot with quick service and a warm atmosphere. Shoutout to Cesar for taking great care of us. We went on a Saturday night—lively without being hectic, and it mellowed out before 10pm.

Food & Drinks – The espresso martini was excellent, made with fresh espresso, and the dirty martini was perfectly mixed—just missing blue cheese olives. The margherita pizza and caprese salad were both just okay. The spicy vodka penne was the standout—creamy with a real kick. Sides of mushrooms and broccoli were solid additions.

Everything was shared among three people, and the portions were more than enough. Prices were very reasonable for the amount of food we ordered.

As we were exiting Edge NYC, there was a kind man that recommended us to go to Zia Maria’s and it was one of the best recommendations ever! Zia Maria’s is AMAZING and I definitely recommend this place! Food was absolutely delicious, and service was fantastic, everyone very attentive! We didn’t have a reservation, but they were able to get us seated right away! Whole experience was wonderful!

I took my daughter and 9 of her friends here for a birthday pizza hang. I looked this place up last minute after my original plan to go to another restaurant fell through. I was able to get a reservation only a day in advance. I called to make certain that they could accommodate my large group of kids. I was nervous because some restaurants would look down on an event like this but the person I spoke to calmed my worries and insisted everything will be fine. We were welcomed so warmly as soon as we entered. Everyone, from the managers to the bus boys were so pleasant. They even played some music after we sang happy birthday (forgot to mention that I was able to bring cupcakes in as well; another thing I was nervous about). The service was quick. Pizzas came out within 20 mins after getting there and were DELICIOUS. I will be making a stop back here on my own/with friends/husband. THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN!

Very nice and quiet restaurant, perfect for dates, it feels private.
The food was absolutely delicious, it didn’t make me feel bloated, it was really fresh!

We ordered the chicken picatta and the milanesa. My only complain is that they don’t bring a bread basket and it was totally necessary .

The staff was very nice and attentive.

I will definitely come back to this place

This was the Italian food I was looking for while visiting the Chelsea area in New York! It’s fresh, authentic and every bite completely savory. We had the classics – lasagna and chicken parmesan. The pasta is made fresh and cooked perfectly. We also enjoyed the calamari for an appetizer. I loved the bread they serve as complementary with dipping oil and herbs. I had a pomegranate martini that was also perfectly made!
Service and atmosphere are also great! No problems, just great people serving great food.
If you’re looking for fine, authentic Italian food, check them out!!!

I found this restaurant searching for a dinner place. The service was a little slow, but very personable, and the atmosphere was great. We loved our food, the portion sizes were good, and the prices were not bad. I would definitely come back here again.

This restaurant is what happens when flavor, service, and atmosphere all decide to show up and do their jobs perfectly.

From the moment you walk in, you’re treated like a valued guest—not rushed, not ignored, just effortlessly cared for. The ambiance strikes that rare balance: stylish without being pretentious, cozy without trying too hard. You instantly relax, which is dangerous because then the food arrives.

And wow—the food. Every dish tastes intentional. Not “let’s throw truffle oil on it and call it fancy,” but thoughtfully layered flavors, spot-on seasoning, and portions that respect both your appetite and your dignity. You can tell the kitchen knows exactly what it’s doing and isn’t cooking to impress trends—just to impress you.

Service deserves its own applause. Attentive without hovering, knowledgeable without lecturing, and genuinely warm. The kind of service that makes you think, “Yep, this place is run properly.”
