Oh how I missed bourbon chicken! Was super excited they opened and they have a new menu. The chicken was crispy and juicy and I love their chili oil. (They even sell jars of the chili oil.) I ordered the regular bourbon chicken and the spicy one. I enjoyed both. The spicy one tastes like their chili oil and Sriracha sauce. If you like spicy. Give it a try.

Took my granddaughter out – she loved it. She had the spicy bourbon chicken and I had the beef and shrimp. Awesome food with great service. To me this is a great TO GO spot – food comes in to go boxes. That way you can go when you want.

Love Zhou’s Mongolian! I try to stop every time I’m in the area. Fast and friendly service. Nice variety of menu items. You have the option of low mein or rice; vegetables or no vegetables and I always request extra sauce. My to go box was heaped full and could easily be shared by two people.

I had a great first experience at the new Zhou’s location. It’s exactly the same as it used to be in the Wausau mall and just as tasty as always. I got the bourbon chicken and it was flavorful, filling, and reasonably priced.

Very good food. Ordered Bourbon chicken and beef. Food was sweeter than I expected and that’s good thing.
Inside of the restaurant is small and looks setup mostly for takeout orders, but you could dine in if you’d like.
I plan on trying the Chinese side of the menu next time.

I ordered the Bourbon Shrimp which was pretty good so I’m happy about that. But I also got lo mein which was very plain, just some spaghetti noodles. The Bourbon sauce, and sweet & sour sauce was also really good.

This is the bourbon place that used to be in the Wausau mall. The food is delicious and always comes out fresh as compared to chop stix where they make it in bulk then it sits there. You want to order ahead of time via phone if you plan for take out as it takes 10-15 minutes to make the fresh meal but it is worth it. The sit down environment is also very nice and calm, usually not very busy so its a nice relaxing place to eat. The bourbon chicken with extra chicken is my favorite but their bourbon beef is also very good. I have not tried the shrimp but I’m sure it follows the same pattern. This is a MUST try for anyone like enjoys bourbon chicken, if you’re a chop stix regular try Zhous, there is a difference in quality and Zhous has better crab rangoon.

Had half Bourbon chicken with lo mein and half general tso’s chicken. Was alot of food but honestly none of it tasted good. Would rather have ate at a Chinese buffet. I’ll stick to chop sticks in wausau
