Food was really good. Definitely underestimated the spice level. Buffet style Hot Pot. 10/10 would recommend. Totally coming back next time I’m in NYC!!

Delicious hot pot spot where you can build it yourself! I was able to mix and match the ingredients that I like, then the staff cooks it for you and serves it. You can chose do either a regular hot pot with soup base or a dry pot, and I chose the dry pot. The restaurant has a varieties of traditional Chinese chilies, mushrooms, and meats to choose from. Overall, a very hearty, delicious meal.

20251229 – Bright and clean place
Staff attitude seemed satisfactory .. not as combative as some reviews suggested
Plenty of food choices and looked fresh and clean
The octopus was a little undercooked
Be careful .. I asked for medium spiciness but was probably more spicy than medium

I’m a big fan of Zhang Liang in Philly, so this was my first time trying this location and I was pleasantly surprised
The soup tastes completely different, more like an authentic soup straight from China
Absolutely love it!!

I had extremely high expectations since I loved the philadelphia location of this food chain where the take out are super enjoyable too even after long period of time. However, this location is just absolutely disappointing and the lady at the front desk was just rude too. First of all, I would like to just question why mild flavor has red pepper coating everything with chili oil coating the whole bottom on the take out box? Second of all, if I ordered it pick up, shouldn’t i still be able to dine in…

It always hits the spot. The food is always fresh and the employees always fills up the food. Compared to other Malatang spot this is far better they have a location in flushing too but are great but this location is more convenient. Whenever I’m craving some dry pot or soup I go here and satisfy my craving.

I have been coming here for years for their dry pot. I love that you can select exactly how much of each ingredient you want; I wish there were more places like this. They’re also great about changing the spice level and additives for what you like or need(husband has an allium sensitivity and they always oblige). They might be more curt when speaking to English customers, but as regulars they’re very friendly.

I’ve been coming back to this spot again and again — it’s that good. I’ve only tried the stir-fried hotpot option so far, and it never disappoints. The flavors are bold and satisfying, and there are plenty of ingredients to customize it exactly the way you like.
The service is quick, and the staff are friendly and helpful, especially if you’re new to hotpot and need a little guidance. Highly recommend if you’re in Chinatown and craving something comforting and full of flavor.

First of all, this was the best hot pot I’ve ever had. The food was all very fresh, and you could pick everything on your own. There were plenty of meats and veggies to choose from. The atmosphere was very modern compared to other Chinatown restaurants, which I really liked.

Food was excellent. A great combination of hotpot and dry pot. We made the mistake of ordering extra hot and it had boat loads of green & red chilli in hotpot. Could not finish the food.
PS – they even serve warm water instead of cold iced water.
