This was our first time at this restaurant. The food was excellent. Our server, Kimmie, was an absolute delight. I ordered the bao buns stuffed with sweet pork. My husband ordered the pork pot stickers. Both were very good. We also had the eggplant hot pot, which was loaded with vegetables as well as my favorite wood ear mushrooms. It was in a light garlic sauce and yummie! We also had stir fry cashew chicken, which also had lots of veggies. Both dishes were a delight and really enough fir 4 to 5 people. My husband ordered hot and sour soup to go, and I’m looking forward to trying it tomorrow. Although it’s a 50-minute drive from where we live, the food was well worth the long drive.

We found this place by accident whilst finding a bakery to eat desserts (Tai Pan next door). Great duck and roast pig by the weight. Super friendly and reasonable prices. Tasty and delicious!

Inflation ruined this place. Quality went down, basically everything has no flavor. Is crispy roasted pork still crispy, yes but that’s the only thing good about it. Meat is bland, they didn’t marinated at all. Luckily for them that there are only two Chinese bbq in metro Detroit otherwise they would close already. Pork is about $12/lb . About the same price 3 years ago.
Cash only by the way.

Very good selection of Asian BBQ from Peking Duck(very decent) to whole roasted pig with all the selection of BBQ’ed sweet breads. All of this is sold by the pound, weighted first then cut up very efficiently. Cash only operation, arrive early as they do sell out during the Holidays or around the Chinese New Year! Language can be a barrier but just point to what you want!

THE most traditional GuangZhou flavors of bbq is this place. Out side of your big city China towns, this is the place. It’s small, it’s family owned, it’s busy. I drive more than an hour just to come here. The Lady owner is very nice and always gives you the best cut, of course first come first serve. Honey BBQ pork and Roast pig is a stable and they do it well. What’s surprising to me is the duck, it’s very flavorful as well, you can taste all the herbs and spices. Come try now.

Great bbq, I wish they would redo their sign inside showing the prices of the meat though since most of the letters are missing

If you are craving for good Chinese food in this area, definitely check out Zhangs BBQ! We did take out, and they only accept cash.
Ordered the crispy pork and roasted duck. I would imagine that eating while everything’s hot would be so much better, but the pork was a little dry with skins that weren’t crispy; however, the duck even when cold was delicious. Usually the ducks I’ve had in Chinese BBQ can be very salty, but this one was a good balance of sweet savory combination. It was tender and fatty, and the skin has a good flavor to it too. Definitely would recommend the roasted duck.

Peking Duck is awesome. Can’t give it 5 stars because it wasn’t hot, and they didn’t have any side dishes. I will definitely go back for the duck though. Will try something else one day, I have to muster up the courage, because they have the food out, basically in natural form. I wouldn’t be surprised if they had live animals in the back. I did enjoy the duck.
