I’m honestly surprised the reviews are so low for this restaurant. We stayed here for a convention and had dinner, and our experience was excellent. The service was very friendly and welcoming.
The food was outstanding—highly recommend the lobster pasta dish, which came with generous chunks of lobster and perfectly flavored pasta. The fig and prosciutto pizza was much larger than expected, with delicious dough and fresh toppings. The bruschetta salad was also excellent.
Cocktails were phenomenal—creative, well-made, and worth the price. Overall, we had no complaints. This is definitely a great spot if you’re looking for an upscale Italian meal. Yes, it’s expensive, but what isn’t these days? Highly recommend.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Zeppole inside the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine.
We were celebrating our daughter’s birthday, and Angeles, Andrea, and Ashita truly went above and beyond to make the evening special. From the moment we sat down, they were attentive, warm, and incredibly thoughtful. They didn’t just serve the table — they helped create a memory.
What stood out most was how intentional they were. They made our daughter feel celebrated, paid attention to the little details, and handled everything with such grace and professionalism. You can tell when a team genuinely cares — and this team absolutely does.
The food was excellent, the atmosphere was beautiful, but the service is what made the night unforgettable.
Also shoutout to Jonathan & Lori the managers who were the most amazing folks to help manage our large group.
Highly recommend for any special occasion. We’ll definitely be back.

Nice indoor/outdoor eating area, although it’s all inside. The food was decent. Portion size was big, so the two of us shared. There is a cost for that, but it was worth it. Our server was attentive, and our reservation came in handy. I highly recommend doing a reservation just so you don’t have a long wait. Then you can walk around the resort while you wait.

They did have GF pasta which was a huge plus. No GF bread to start . Be nice to have something to nibble on when others get to eat yummy bread.
The table was so far away from my seat I had to sit on the edge of my seat in our booth.

Zeppole features extremely delicious food, hospitable staff, and an interesting atmosphere.
To begin, the food at Zeppole is extremely tasty and filling. Come hungry but take time to enjoy the flavors. Every part of my meal was delicious. You know you’re in for a great time!
As for the service, it’s hard to beat the people they have on staff. During my visit, everyone was extremely friendly, welcoming, and hospitable. If anyone in upper management is reading this: Mike was amazing and so very helpful. Expect people here to take care of you.
Finally, the atmosphere is great, but as the eating area is “outside” (it’s inside the covered area of Gaylord, but otherwise is open), you simply can’t expect quiet dining; the sound of guests and flowing water (as well as music) will accompany your meal. However, the actual eating area was clean, well organized, and looked great.
The only major complaint is that it’s almost impossible to find a good place to park to get to the restaurant. You’ll probably need directions or someone who’s familiar with the Gaylord or to get directions to find it.
