Definitely recommend stopping if you’re in the area. Talked to the owner for a bit. He seems like a cool guy. He named the place after his dog!
Chicken wings were really good. Nice and crispy on the outside but the meat was very tender. The homemade barbecue sauce was definitely a good choice! We also had a deep dish pizza that was solid. He makes the dough and pizza sauce from scratch as well.

Wow! I was not expecting this great of food way out here. Detroit style pizza (better than what I grew up with) the cheesy Amish potatoes are excellent & the rueben sandwich (disguised as “the Larry”) was perfect.

I Wish I would have taken some pictures of the food but it all went down so fast. The Ribs are super tender and their bbq sauce is made from scratch and the taste is unique and balanced flavor;(not too sweet, not too tangy and not Smokey) they were literally just getting finished as we arrived at opening when we came in at 11 and they came out piping hot.
The homemade corned beef & kraut on the Larry sandwich is out of this world amazing toooed with the their dressing & Swiss on grilled rye…it’s really one of the best Reuben sandwiches I’ve ever had anywhere.
The cheese fries were amazing-crispy cheesy hand cut-just everything cheese fries should be and they’re not greedy like many places. Definitely will be back soon

Well I’ve been meaning to leave a review since Zeppelins opened but, couldn’t think of the perfect wording. I still can’t other than AMAZING. We eat here once a week sometimes twice a week as it’s easy and convenient and the prices are reasonable also. The food is cooked to perfection and tastes amazing. The staff is amazing and friendly along with Mark. He takes pride in his menu, restaurant and his customers making sure their needs are met. Zeppelins was a great add to our little town of Wakefield. Maybe we could get him to add polish Gołąbki (stuffed cabbage rolls) to the menu in the future as you can not find them anywhere around the Gogebic area.

Finally, a place in the yoop that serves smash burgers and subs! Owner is cool. The vibes in this place are relaxing. Which I don’t normally feel that way about food establishments. Give this place a try!

We were just passing through the area and our lodging had the menu for this restaurant in the room. The menu wasn’t overwhelming but what was listed sounded good so we checked them out. Food was great, everything was really clean, people were really friendly. We had a great chat with the owner, told us how the name came to be.

Honestly every meal I had at Zeppelins was awesome. The meals were packed with flavor, and many had a unique twist that set it apart from other restaurants. The atmosphere is also very impressive! The owner was very welcoming and you could tell he is super passionate and excited to open his restaurant! All in all, it’s a 10/10 for both food and environment, I definitely recommend stopping by if you are looking for some great food!

Our family had crazy bread and a pizza. It was absolutely delicious. One large pizza with the bread easily fed a family of four. We ordered for takeout at 545 and it was ready at 545. Delicious. We will definitely order again. Thanks mark!!!

Not only was the food delicious (I had the Larry, highly recommend!) but my friends and I were warmly welcomed in and it was very affordable. The place itself is easy to access, honestly didn’t expect a restaurant of this caliber in the area being from out our town – but I highly recommend this spot to anyone passing through Wakefield / lives in the area. I also had a bite of the smash burger and it was the bomb! 5 stars no doubt, you won’t regret stopping by

My partner and I were driving through on a trip through the UP and were curious about Zeppelins after seeing photos on here of the food. We stopped by on a Monday, and while they only do takeout orders then, the owner was very polite and let me still come in to order and wait inside while they prepared it. He was very friendly and offered suggestions of several places for us to check out in the area, and he even threw in a tea and a lemonade for us for free!
The Greek Salad was absolutely delicious and well worth it (I’m tempted to try swinging back through on our way back to Minnesota just to pick up another!), and the Amish Potatoes were very tasty as well. Would definitely recommend to anyone local or traveling to check out, and definitely hope to make it back again in the future!
