We ordered the spicy garlic sauce in vegetable with pork and pad Thai with pork for our main, starter is the sharing for 2 which has a 4 choices of dumplings, spicy chicken wings, spring rolls and sesame chicken toast and the sauce compliments it. The pad Thai I really enjoyed it.pork was tender and tasty. The food and drinks are all reasonable price. Absolutely recommendable and top rated Thai restaurant. Will definitely comeback. Thank you.
However, the price point was quite steep. The total came to over £60, which felt expensive for a takeaway meal, even considering the quality. It’s a bit of a shame, as the food itself was excellent, but the cost makes it more of a splurge rather than a regular option.
If you’re after genuine Thai cuisine and don’t mind paying a premium, Zen Thai is definitely worth a try.
The mains followed up on the quality.
If you like Thai food you will not be disappointed eating here!
The owner (Spencer), whos wife runs the kitchen, is a great host, and his team are friendly, capable and quick.
The restaurant was packed, but service was still timely.
Note: there is one warning I have, do not expect to rock up and get in without booking on Friday or Saturday. This is a popular restaurant (with good reason), so in season you may need to book 6 weeks in advance, we went off season and still needed to book 4 weeks in advance.
Don’t let that put you off, just plan ahead and book in advance, it’s worth it. Imho.
We chose to have our starters at the same time as our main which meant table space was limited but we managed. A great choice of starters, mains, deserts and drinks.
It does get busy here so best to book ahead. We parked opposite which is a pay and display car park 24/7 and cost £4 for 3 hours.
We can’t fault anything it was delicious. We will definitely be recommending and will for sure be going again.
