I had an amazing experience at Zentarou Sushi and Sake Bar! The omakase here is truly impressive, especially for the price. Every piece of fish was incredibly fresh, well-balanced, and thoughtfully prepared. You can really feel the chef’s passion—each course was explained with care, and the pacing of the meal was perfect.
The selection had a great mix of classic cuts and creative bites that made the whole experience memorable. The portions were just right, and I left feeling satisfied without being overly full. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, and the staff were attentive, friendly, and made the experience even better.
For the quality you get, Zentarou offers one of the best and most affordable omakase experiences in the area. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to anyone who loves sushi!

Zentarou has outstanding tableside service, even when the restaurant is busy. The staff is attentive and genuinely takes care of your needs. I really enjoyed the umeshu plum wine, and the omakase is a must-try—the fish is very high quality. The menu changes every season, which keeps things fresh and interesting. The cozy atmosphere makes the experience even better. Highly recommend.

I went Zentarou with my friends for my husband’s birthday. The experience was the BEST I could ask for in the entire Bay Area. Bee was super friendly, nice, and professional. All the staff were welcoming and passionate. We tried some sakes. All of them were amazingly tasty!! My husband and I had an amazing time there! They also gave us a cake. Highly recommended!

This place is my second home. I come here quite often during lunch time and it always soothes my soul. The tranquil atmosphere paired with delectable fish, truly fresh and rare fish they import makes the experience so special.

First time here and wont be the last time. We did the 139 omakase menu and it did not disappoint! We got not 1, not 2, but 3 dishes that included nigiri. Unheard of!
B and Bella were our amazing host and waitress. We’re definitely fans now and love the team here! We called in ahead of time and they said they had two seats for us. When we finally arrived there was a line out the door but B stayed true to his word and we were thankful!
Customer service is 5 stars here.

Really great sushi place. Was only 2 blocks from Golden Gate Park 9th st entrance. Easy walk.
Atmosphere was very nice and tables were placed as to not feel crowded.
Food was fantastic. Very fresh. Service was quick and friendly.

Don’t come if you’re in a rush. Relax, sit at the bar, and enjoy the best fish outside of Japan. I question if you say you’ve gotten food poisoning here. The freshest best quality in the city. Also, don’t sleep on the sake. Best selection on the west coast. Ask Bee for recommendations you won’t be disappointed!

I booked a group reservation for 22 people at Zentarou sushi for a work party. The staff was warm, friendly, and the food was incredible. We enjoyed a real Omakase experience filled with incredible fresh seafood, and a wide variety of flavors and dishes. Our pickier eaters were able to order à la carte in advance, ensuring an enjoyable experience for all. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and very easy to work with to plan the party. I highly recommend Zentarou sushi for dinner or for group dinners. They definitely leveled up our holiday party game!
