Ordered for the first and only time! Hair in my food. Called, they demanded I bring it all the way back for them to just rudely pull the food from my hand then take the hair I found and bring it to the kitchen to verify with workers it wasn’t their hair. Then the female was laughing in my face while speaking foreign language they refused refund, kept the food. Said it wasn’t their hair and it wasn’t black hair yet the females hair was black, with blonde, purple, and brown highlights/streaks. I’ve never seen such demeaning service. And the few bites I took honestly the food was gross very tasteless

What a pleasant surprise! We were going to eat somewhere else and at the last minute, I decided I wanted chinese food. The closest place was Zenbu so that is where we went. It is small inside…seating for maybe 18-24 people at a time. Service was very friendly, pretty quick and very tasty.

Tried it once before years ago and it was lousy…still is. Got sesame beef that had a distinct moldy taste, pork – few trace strands – lo mein that was ok (can’t really screw up noodles in soy sauce), orange chicken that tasted like musty orange rinds with itty bitty pieces of chicken in balls of batter, egg drop soup that was neon yellow and pork fried rice which was probably the best part of the order although the pork was very dry. Won’t be back which is too bad because aside from Hanzo’s, there really isn’t any place good that I know of in Rensselaer county. Used to frequent Lee Sun but since they changed owners they’re even worse than this place.

Great food and really well priced. Probably the best general tso’s chicken I’ve ever had. Staff are very nice and it’s a great plac for a quiet meal

Food is usually good. But last time I got sweet-and-sour shrimp, and the shrimp was either freezer burned or overcooked kind of chewy. Disappointed.

To go order of the white meat, General Taos chicken seemed to be a large portion until I bit in and discovered each piece was 90% batter maybe 10% meat…Curry Chicken was fair not much curry, Dumplings were fair not a flavor I enjoyed at other similar restaurants. Not going back

The food was delicious and I was excited to find a new favorite Chinese place but then I saw a tip was added to my card that I didn’t authorize. I initially had a charge of $21 on my card which increased to $26 the next day for a pickup order, which is usually how tipping works in restaurants except I didn’t authorize a tip. This is poor business practice and is unfortunate because I thought I would be coming here frequently, but now I won’t be coming back.

Had coconut shrimp…no shrimp or coconut in dish, scallops that tasted like water chestnuts, & beef I couldn’t chew because it was so tough. Hot & sour soup that was just really thick brown gravy with just a few things in it. They didn’t even provide the crispy noodles for it. Almost $50 that’s going in the garbage. Ugh

We get takeout here pretty regularly and it’s always solid. Quick and tasty with friendly folks at the counter. They have the best steamed dumplings I’ve ever had from a Chinese takeout joint.

We’ve been ordering from Zenbu going on 20 years. I can honestly say we’ve never had a complaint. Had a long week/day today, ordered to make our lives easy tonight. It was probably the best it’s ever been. Will be picking up our daughter soon, surprising her with this. Food is always amazing, thank you Zenbu!
