We’re Zen Restaurant and Sushi Bar, and we’ve been a Chinese restaurant here in Verona, PA, since 2017. We specialize in Chinese and Japanese food. We offer a fully-stocked bar, a sushi bar, a chef’s specialties menu, and more. We started this business to offer local patrons a place where they can come to relax, feel Zen, and eat great food. We’re looking forward to partnering with Allegheny County consumers to continue offering a great blend of Chinese and Japanese cuisine. Definitely some solid food here. This is one of the better Asian places in the area from what I’ve heard. They serve everything from Thai staples to sushi and Chinese entrees. They even have bubble tea (which may be a new addition to the menu, but I unfortunately didn’t get a chance to try it). I did get to try the Pad Thai with tofu and Hulton sushi roll.

Our server Joe was 10/10. I love coming to Zen but Joe definitely made this experience even better! This man nearly crashed into another server because he wanted everything out in a timely manner. He was so pleasant and I even forgot my box and he brought it out to the car. This man definitely was top notch and I would love for him to serve me every time I’m there. By far my best experience at this restaurant! We tipped the bill because we were so pleased with him!!

During Covid everything is so different. However, I’ve never been here before today and I was blown away. The cleanliness was flawless, all of the food was so fresh and delicious! The staff was so courtesy. My fiance and I had no complaints at all. Very happy customers!!

My wife and I, and our friends always enjoy Zen. My wife had egg drop soup and sesame chicken, and I had hot and sour soup, a pork egg roll, and my favorite sushi roll – the Fugiyama Roll. I enjoy all of Zen’s sushi items. Make sure you give the poke bowls a try too.

The food here is fantastic, we made a point to get there today for the lunch specials, only to find out it Monday through Saturday… Quite disappointing. Also I ventured out a little bit and decided to try the Pad Thai it’s one of my favorite Thai dishes. But it wasn’t spicy at all which blew my mind still had excellent flavors but I was hoping to sweat at least a little bit. The Steelers roll was amazing per usual.

The most expensive and the WORST shrimp egg rolls I’ve ever had in my entire life. They were completely dried out and powdery (?). They tasted like they had been sitting out somewhere for 8 hours before we got them. At over $5 a piece, this felt like robbery to me. The shrimp with lobster sauce was actually good. Didn’t eat the rice bc I was so disgusted by the egg rolls.
