One thing that Augusta has been lacking for quite some time was a legitimate ramen and Japanese option that’s not “fusion” nonsense. After trying them out, I can thankfully say that my ramen needs are finally met. The interior was a very modern design, with 2 separate bar areas as well as table seating located around the building. There was a little wait to get my food, but considering how popular they are currently it was understandable. I ordered the Hakata tonkotsu ramen for my entree and omitted the corn, and I got an order of fried gyoza for my side. The ramen I was very impressed with, considering how many half baked attempts we have had locally in the past. The noodles were great and chewy, the chasu pork was tender and flavorful, and the tonkotsu broth was rich and flavorful. The gyoza was great too, very crispy exterior with a juicy inside. Overall I was impressed with zen ramen and considering they only just opened, they can only improve from an already great first impression. I will have to come back in the future to try their rice dishes.
Edit: Came back with a group and tried their Gyudon rice bowl. The beef was tender and flavorful and balanced well with the pickled vegetables and the soft boiled egg. The service was excellent and our waiter was great to talk to and met every need of our table. Zen Ramen bar has now become a favorite place to have a nice meal either solo or with a group.

Let me just start by saying… WOW. Zen Ramen & Bar knows how to bring the flavor AND the fire!, I went bold and ordered the Inferno Ramen Bowl, and let me tell you, it lives up to the name! This bowl brought the heat in the best way possible. Spicy, yes, but packed with layers of rich, savory flavor that kept me coming back for more. If you’re a spice lover, this one is calling your name.
My husband went with the Hakata Bowl, a classic choice that was comforting and full of umami goodness. He thoroughly enjoyed it,but if we’re being honest, I caught him sneaking a few extra bites of my bowl. So we know who the winner was.
A huge shout-out to our server Ben, who truly made the night better. He was friendly, attentive, and added that extra touch of good vibes to the whole experience. Servers like him make all the difference!
The vibe at Zen? Super chill. The space is clean, relaxed, and perfect for catching up over a flavorful bowl of Ramen
Overall: 10/10 would slurp again.

Came here ~6 pm Friday party of 3, waited 10-15 minutes for a table. The place was packed. Of the 4 appetizers, our favorites were the Takoyaki & edamame. Takoyaki had big chunks of octopus & edamame was fresh with some spices. Both ramen noodles were flavorful with tender sliced pork & rich broth. The noodles were a tad too soft for my taste. The beef rice bowl was tasty, but the rice was a bit too dry. I wish they used sushi round rice instead. Overall a very good meal. Portions were adequate & pricing were reasonable. Our server was knowledgeable & friendly. 2 thumbs up for Zen!

Not a fan of this place. Ramen are on the expensive side but don’t live to the prices. The Sapporo miso ramen I got tasted kind of weird and tasted like it was made from powders instead of fresh broth. I will not return and will seek better ramen places in town.

This place is so laid back. I went on a solo date just to relax. I sat at the bar where there are several TVs. I watched some of the Monday football while indulging in a bowl of noodles
with a chicken. The dumplings were also good. My overall experience was good. I will come
back.
Thanks Tony

Tried Zen Ramen & Bar during their soft opening and loved it! The ramen was 10/10 — fresh noodles, rich broth, and huge portions. Drinks were great, the space is open with plenty of TVs for football, and the staff were super friendly. Definitely coming back — don’t forget to ask for chili saté to kick it up a notch! ️

I know it’s unfair to compare it to ramen in Japan, but don’t expect much depth in the broth flavor. Still, it’s probably the best ramen spot around here! I went right when they opened in the morning. The broth was lukewarm, but the noodles were piping hot. I plan to visit again next time. The takoyaki was delicious!

They knocked EVERY. SINGLE. THING. out of the park! From the food to the service, no complaints! Can’t wait to eat my way through the rest of the menu!! Great location for professionals in the central Augusta area to come have lunch or after work drinks. I know this will be my go-to after shopping at the Homegoods nearby!

So I saw this posted on FB and was so excited to finally have a ramen plane to go to. We’ll it did not disappoint at all. The atmosphere was tranquil and comfortable. The service was really fast. There was no wait and got sat fast. Cynthis our waitress was awesome and attentive. Well every single thing we ordered was cooked to perfection and the seasoning was top notch. I would definitely come back and so would all my family. My daughter loved the ramen and the Japanese chicken. I recommend everyone to come and try it out.
