Never had problems here before and go routinely for lunch, but my experience today was just bizarre. I really don’t leave reviews typically, but the rice bowl I ordered only had a few tablespoons of rice in it. There were chunks of completely uncooked ramen noodles crushed in which I had to pick out, and the rest of the bowl was filled out with similarly raw cabbage.

Honestly, the food here tastes like it was probably a microwaved frozen winco package or something

I didn’t even go in; I was walking by and they were grilling out front. I asked “oh cool, do yall always grill out here?” Just to be friendly. Oh my lord the gentleman grilling was rude. All I said back was “cheer up, have a good morning.” I hope it got better for him

This place is definitely not what it used to be. We purchased Zen salad with salmon and Zen salad with chicken, With sauce zen salad on the side. What we got instead was teriyaki chicken bowl and salmon zen salad with some spicy dressing. Rice was Soft and overcooked. Part of why we get a salad is because there is typically more vegetables than rice. Customer service was way below what we used to see at this location. Very disappointing, considering we live on an opposite side of town. The person acted like she didn’t wanna be there.

Zen Bento is one of our favorites! We order from them quite often for large group lunches in the office. They are always super quick and helpful…and the food is always delicious! Today, we had an order for 12 people and they had it done in 30 minutes plus put everyone’s names on their orders so it was easy to sort through them. Highly recommend! 🙂

Ordered a rice bowl with salmon- I would not call this place bento – I was hoping for fresh vegetables- cucumbers, seaweed salad, Japanese style pickles, miso soup, tempura….something that resembled what it’s name suggests…bento… the staff was friendly enough and the atmosphere was at least clean… the lack of quality in the food felt like I was being punished for coming in. Soggy rice- canned goopy salmon smothered in sauce that still couldn’t cover the taste of canned cat food from the fish. With vegetables that had no business in a bowl with salmon… I threw out my over priced inedible bowl and thanked the staff.
With such a great location I know this place can do better! add less water to the rice, cook with fresh ingredients especially protein whether salmon or beef – take a road trip to Seattle and find some well rated bento places and finally add some diversity to the menu!

They always run out of ahi, if you’re always selling out around the start of lunch, wouldn’t you increase your supply?

My first time here and prob my last time. I have driven the one on apple st and they were hardly open. I tried the salmon bowl and it wax not to my liking. It had little taste. The employees did not look like they did not want to be there. Please be aware, unhappy employees equal bad food and worse service.
