We tried a combination of vegetable/meat dishes and all were fantastic. We specifically loved the shiro, yemisie kay wat, and the gomen alicha. The three veggie/meat samplers are definitely filling enough for one person. This restaurant also has a great outdoor seating area that would be great during the spring/summer. Overall, we would highly recommend trying Zemam’s.

Found an old photo from my visit and had to leave a review. We really enjoyed the experience of sharing a hearty platter and eating with our hands together (especially as Filipinos!). The food was a great intro to Ethiopian cuisine, flavourful like a dried curry. The staff was super knowledgeable and helped us choose. The place has a cosy, artsy flair to it. We checked out their bar next door and it did not disappoint. A solid spot that left a good impression all the way from Hong Kong!

A wonderful experience, excellent food, service and atmosphere, a real treat. I dined here for a late lunch, enjoyed a combo with lamb, red lentils and collared greens. Excellent quality ingredients prepared skillfully!

Wonderful first experience with Ethiopian food. My wife was mild and mine was spicy. Both of us were very pleased. We also had the coffee – very nice.

The food is delicious with many different options and no silverware required! An order is the perfect amount for 2. The service was fast and the staff is very attentive and kind. They have both indoor and outdoor seating options all with a peaceful and friendly atmosphere. Don’t follow Google maps for parking, there is a parking lot at the end of “z-street” which is the 3 businesses that start with z all lined up. The lot is on the opposite end of z-street as Zemams. To enter you walk through the entrance to the backyard in the parking lot.

My husband and I bring our friends and family here everytime we are in town! We love the food, the unique flavors, sampler platters and family style eating is perfect. We love the chicken and red meat dishes but the vegetarian dishes are our favorites! The tea, coffee, and tej (honey wine) are worth trying, my friends and family always get 1 of the 3. The staff are always super nice. The atmosphere is also great, my friends have even gotten the Spotify Playlist from the staff so they could listen to it later, it really is such a vibe.
