Very nice restaurant. Drinks were good and the service was great. Unfortunately, the food was not. I ordered the sausage and mushroom pizza. To be honest, I’ve had better $5 pizzas from domino’s. It was a wet, sloppy, greasy mess.

Zelo is absolutely worth it. If you’re looking to book for a special occasion, I would recommend it. The service is better than anywhere I’ve ever been, and the food portions are WAY better than seen in pictures. It was so delicious, too.

I recommend their Crab Cakes. 100% worth the price. We had the spaghetti and meatballs, Tortiglioni Rossa and the Budino for dessert

Didi was the most wonderful server and did a fantastic job all night. Full of life, great recommendations and she made us feel special the whole time!

Shrimp Scampi over spaghetti pasta and lemon cilantro walleye fresh from Red Lake were delicious! Hattie, our server, was pleasant and responsive. Noise level was a little louder than expected.

Delicious Italian-style restaurant with an impressive wine selection. I particularly enjoyed the bar side, offering a distinct atmosphere compared to the main dining area.

If possible, make sure to reserve a table at Brittany K.’s section. She provides exceptional, friendly service, is prompt, has a keen eye for detail, and makes you feel right at home.

GREAT restaurant for any occasion. Service provided by David and staff was most excellent: very attentive, knowledgeable, and refined. Food is the best Italian food we’ve experienced so far in our five years of searching for authenticity in the Twin Cities. We also appreciated the elegance of the atmosphere with no obnoxious music disturbing our conversation.

Very good customer service. We made reservations, was greeted warmly when we arrived and directly seated. Wait staff was very friendly, attentive and polite. Wild rice soup is amazing! Steak and fontina potato frico was amazing. One of my companions had the classic lasagna which she loved and shared. They have a variety of dessert options we tried four and we impressed with each of them.

Homemade pasta cooked to perfection, warm fluffy bread, and delicious desserts! I got the herb linguini primavera, pumpkin butter cake, and crème brûlée for dessert! Neat architecture in the building as well.

My partner and I both agreed this was the best meal we’ve ever had in the Twin Cities. We had the calamari, crab cakes, linguine del mare, and the bucatini dish. Absolutely lovely, fresh, and delicious. Our waiter Corrina was so helpful and kind! Will be returning soon as it’s one of our new favorites!

Had a great dinner at Zelo with a group of friends. We didn’t have reservations but were seated quickly in the back with our party of five. The service was outstanding—every staff member we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable.

The bread was excellent: warm, soft on the inside, and perfectly crisp on the outside. We started with the Caesar salad, which had a rich, flavorful dressing over fresh, crunchy romaine.

Our table ordered a variety of entrées. The lamb pasta was a standout, featuring tender shredded lamb stewed in a tomato-based sauce and served over spaghetti-like noodles. The rigatoni with pork was also delicious, with a lighter, brighter red sauce. The chicken Parmesan was hearty and satisfying. The seafood pasta was filling and came with a fair portion of seafood, though it included only one scallop.

For dessert, we shared the warm, gooey chocolate cake—an excellent way to end the meal. We also tried the crème brûlée, which split opinions at the table; some found it a bit too soft or slightly too rich.

Overall, a wonderful dinner with great service, flavorful dishes, and memorable desserts.

First and foremost, the meals are consistently fantastic. I’ve never had a bad meal at this restaurant over the last few years. The ingredients are high quality, fresh, and well prepared. The dishes come out delicious every time. It makes dining incredibly easy when I know I can choose anything on the menu and it will be great. The service is also incredible. Knowledgeable, prompt, and friendly staff. Zelo is a must try downtown, and if you do, it will become one of your go to restaurants for a nice night out.
