We stopped here for Thanksgiving when many places weren’t open. We are glad we did as the combo brisket/rib/sausage platter. The ribs were very flavorful as were the brisket and sausage and I say this as a native Texan. The portion was also very generous, even with sharing.
Our server was also super friendly and welcoming.
I took off one star for atmosphere because a better designed building would highlight the surrounding mountains

A bit of wild ride at this establishment. When opening the door to the bar we were blasted with a faint waft of sewage which set the tone at a bit of a weird place to begin.
After being very nicely greeted by the staff we sat down at our table and our evening quickly took a turn.
While the interior decorations were a little odd, the food was good and the service was wonderful. Great place for a big group while visiting Angel Fire. We were pleasantly surprised and would revisit!

The service was spectacular in the food was very good. They have Mexican food, barbecue and sandwiches like burgers and chicken sandwiches too. They had a salad bar too.

If I had read the reviews I definitely would not have eaten at Zebs. But we didn’t read the reviews and we enjoyed a delicious meal. Our jalapeño margaritas were great! The baby back ribs literally fell off the bone and were so flavorful and delicious. We also ordered a basket of fried okra and it reminded me of okra I fry at home in my cast iron skillet…so good!!! I had the trout and it was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. Overall we enjoyed the food and we experienced great service.

I actually like Zebs. I eat there and drink there. Very often. Unfortunately, the last time I was in there. The bar tender decided to charge my credit card. For an additional 18.00$ and pocketed the money. After numerous attempts to contact a manager. And try to resolve this. I was told to just report my card as lost. And get a new one. I believe they are running two ticket machines. Because I signed the copies at one price. And then was charged another price. And they couldn’t present the their copy to me. Buyers beware, the Saturday afternoon bar tender is stealing from people.
I have left my contact information. On three separate occasions. Yes I left a dollar tip on four four dollar beer transactions. I was charged $8, $8, $14, $8. I signed for four, five dollar transactions equalling $20 dollars. Was charged $38.00. You have my phone number. Just make it right…

Worst meal I’ve had in a long time, I don’t know if they had new cooks but I would eat at your own risk.
Best part of the meal was my cocktail so unless your just going in for a beverage I wouldn’t bother.
We had a party of 8 and 6 of us got the runs and bubble guts from their food.
My daughters chopped steak which reads on the menu as an 8 once steak chopped with mushroom gravy was literally a mushy hamburger patty. All the food was cold, none of the cheese was actually melted through even in the kids grilled cheese.
Soggy cold, tasteless fries, crunchy onion and not cooked mushrooms in the gravy. One of our group ordered a philly cheesesteak it was lunch meat with partially cooked onions and peppers and they forgot to even put the cheese on the cheesesteak
The food was just awful, like the cooks were trying out to be on the Worst Cooks in America TV show.
Waitress was super sweet though!

We stopped at Zebs after 12 hours of road. We found a very welcoming and pleasant meal. I suspect locals and tourists alike enjoy the respite.

The food was really good. However, we ordered a steak, medium rare, and it came out very well done. We had it sent back, while the rest of the table finished eating, cleared our table, and we still had not received another steak. The waiter did come by to let us know they were still working on it, but it took too long. Everyone else was finished and ready to go, and I had to finally ask for a manager, who brought the steak out shortly, to-go
Then, when I received the bill, no discount was given for the steak. I asked about this, and was then given $5 off. I felt like this was handled wrong at every turn – slow to get this fixed, we had to keep asking rather than them keeping us informed, then a very little discount for our time and trouble.
The food we did receive was very tasty and delicious. The only complaint was the service on the steak.

On vacation, visiting from Houston. This is our first time visiting, and the food was just awful. The baby back ribs were impossible to pull apart, hard to even cut, and so tough they were nearly inedible. The sause on them was acrid, tasted like store-bought Craft. Even a non-Texan would know this was bad barbeque. The build-your-own tacos, both the chicken and beef, were completely unseasoned. Prices were bad too, considering what was served. It took a little bit for the food to come out, but nearly everything was either room temp or straight-up cold, especially the things that had beans.
I do want to mentioned that our server was amazing, really kind guy. We only returned the ribs, and we were fully comp’t for it. He offered us a free dessert (we got the apple cobbler, again it was okay but not as hot as it should’ve been). I wish him the best, but even his good service couldn’t make up for how terrible the food was.
I highly recommend finding somewhere else to eat, or buying something frozen from Lowe’s and heating it up yourself.

We were there in off season! But the food was good and the hard working “2” ppl that were ranting the place did an amazing job! I’m sure it’s much different staff wise in snow season. But over all a good time for a good price..
