Food was good- I was excited to get the trout that I had heard so much about and the Thai green beans. The green beans were tough – was not a fan. The trout tasted like fish. However, their corn grits are to die for! The hummus was delicious. My husband said the duck was decent. I’d like to go try other things.

On New Year’s Day, I came into the establishment, was seated, and was never greeted or acknowledged — not even to order water. After waiting, I left, and not a single staff member seemed to notice or care.
I decided to give the restaurant a second chance tonight by placing an online order. Unfortunately, my order was incorrect. When I returned to address it, staff looked through my bag as if I was being dishonest. When they finally brought out the missing items, including my chicken breast, it was cold. No one apologized, and there was not even a courtesy drink offered for the inconvenience and additional wait time.
What makes this even more disappointing is that I’ve placed large catering orders from this restaurant for my job in the past. After these experiences, I will not be doing so again. Customer service and accountability matter, and unfortunately, neither were shown.

Nice place to go get a bite to eat if you love Northern foods with no spice or flavorings. Don’t get me wrong the food tasted alright but it wasn’t great, it needed flavoring it was just too bland. Other than that it was a nice place to eat and the atmosphere was great too. The service on the other hand was horribly slow, it took a while for our waitress to acknowledge us. We personally wouldn’t go back here to eat preferably because we didn’t care for the food flavoring and the service that we received but if you like bland food with little to no flavor you would love this place.

Waitress couldn’t smile or check in on us. Hubby had to hunt down salt and pepper and the waitress. Baton Rouge location is better.

We had my son’s 50th birthday dinner with about 17 at our table. Everyone enjoyed the food and the service was great. The price was much lower than I expected for that many people. Great time.

The atmosphere was really nice, the waitress was excellent, fast and attentive service. Tried the twice fried duck and it was not my favorite. The skin was not even close to crispy. The fat was not rendered and so most of your bite it fat. Because of having so much fat the duck meat itself had no flavor. The sauce the duck was cooked in was delicious. The Philly cheese panini had no flavor and not enough meat to bread. The rotisserie chicken was wonderful as was the grilled fish. Both had lots of flavor and perfect seasoning.

The food was so good. We started with the duck ampanadas. They used to have grits with etuffe and fried chicken on the menu. My husband asked about it and they were able to make it for him even though it wasn’t on the menu anymore. Everyone working in there was so nice and helpful. Unfortunately, the people at the table next to us had 2 younger kids who were loud and running around. Im not sure what restaurants are allowed to do with those situations these days. You would think they could ask them to make their kids behave or leave.

The waitress had to do a presentation of the wine. It was her first time but she killed it! The wine is a little spicy and bitter. I normally don’t drink red wines but this one is one of my favorites!
Appetizer
Mediterranean hummus with panini – $14.95 – 10/10 I think it’s worth it. It was fresh, tasted wonderful. Plenty for 2 people. As you can see, we couldn’t wait to dig in lol

Bronzed Troute with corn grits and red beans and rice – 1 fillet – $17.50- the presentation was really plain but the taste was good! It was juicy with a lemon butter flavor. With 1 filet I will say, it should be around $15. 8.5/10
Balsamic salmon with corn grits and mashed sweet potatoes- 27.50. Oooo this one is good. It’s smokey and sweet all at the same time. In all honesty I would give it a 9/10
The mashed sweet potato’s are seasonal. They were very fluffy. If I had some brown sugar and butter to add I would be addicted.

This was my first time eating at this restaurant and I can say I will DEFINITELY GO BACK!!! The service was perfect, food was beyond perfection, the atmosphere was very calming. Overall, this is hands down the best restaurant I’ve been to. Our server was Taylor and I recommend requesting him if you can. He was very polite and very professional. That’s a server who knows how to do is job and is happy to do so. Today is my birthday, dessert was on the house, thank you to Clay!! We ordered the duck empanadas as an appetizer, I got the Thai ribs with corn grits and mashed sweet potatoes. My fiance got the chicken sandwich and corn grits. I’m definitely going to bed happy! Thank you to the entire staff for making this a memorable first experience. Y’all are awesome!!
