5 stars all the way! Our first time at a Zea, and won’t be our last. We were pleasantly greeted at the front door, seated, then promptly waited on by Liam. He was very knowledgeable of the menu, making multiple suggestions. We ordered the LA bbq chicken with roasted corn grits, and broccoli, and the red beans and rice with fried chicken. We finished off with the sweet potato bread pudding. Everything was 10/10, on-point, top-shelf! This joint might be a hidden gem for the types of food in their menu – certainly was the case for us.

We went to Zea’s for lunch. My Thai Spiced Ribs and green beans were delicious, with just the right amount of spice. The caramel drizzled cake and ice cream was the perfect match to cap off my meal. The service was excellent, with just the right amount of attention. The price was good for the quality of food and service.

I haven’t been to Zea’s in years so I figured I’d stop in. I ordered the duck empanadas and the Shrimp Breaux Bridge. Both were simple one note dishes; no depth, little flavor. All that said it’s probably my fault, I should have stuck to the Rotisserie portion of the menu and I will be back to give it another try. Mainly, because my bartender Hali and one of the Managers (Blonde, Track Star) were so great. Seriously, I’ve rarely had better service. If that Manager approaches life with the spirit, enthusiasm, positivity and work ethic I saw she will always be successful and amazing.

The rotisserie chicken here is some of the best I’ve ever had – never dry, always full of flavor. Last time I had it dry rubbed, this time I tried the Hawaiian glazed (pineapple ginger teriyaki). Yes! Nicely accompanied by roasted corn grits and pleasantly seasoned green beans. Couldn’t resist the happy hour discount to get a Blueberry Mule, which was delicious. Also tried the bread pudding – it was rich and buttery and dense – and so large you could easily share. The only thing I didn’t like here was the ice cream. It was OK, but bland and unexciting next to all the other great flavors (it really needed more vanilla to stand up to the bread pudding). Overall, great experience.

Loved the atmosphere and decor. A little more upper classy feel to it, but most were regularly dressed. Food was very good! Our server was great. I plan to go back to try more. Only thing is the menu needs to be updated. I didn’t know that you could get red beans as a full meal not just a side. A few things are like that and a menu upgrade would get them more business. Good place for lunch/dinner.
