I stopped by Zaza Cuban Comfort Food and tried the chicken empanadas and wow, they did not disappoint. Perfectly crispy on the outside, flavorful and tender on the inside, and honestly some of the best I’ve had in a minute.

Shoutout to my server Iheni, who was so sweet and kind. She helped me pick what to order and made the whole experience even better. Great food + great service = definitely coming back.

Solid Cuban food for sure just definitely not the best authentic experience I was hoping for. Staff were friendly and service was quick. Their prices were average for the area. The establishment was clean. Overall the food was fine just didn’t hit the spot when searching for a great Cuban sandwich.

Let me start by saying it used to be one of my favorite lunch spot to go to when the food is on. It is super good. That being said the inconsistency in the kitchen has been extremely noticeable as well as getting orders right out of the last five orders I’ve placed something has been wrong whether they add onions when we ask them not to due to allergies, forget sauces, or just have raw onions on the sandwich that aren’t even cooked. I’m starting to really get let down by Zaza. I hope they turn it around cause it’s amazing when it’s on point.

One of the best places in Orlando for Cuban food. The cafe con leche is a must try, as well as the Cuban sandwich which I got to go for my husband. I enjoyed my coffee with an egg and cheese breakfast sandwich which was delicious along with a fresh chicken empanada. This food truly brings a smile to my face and the name “comfort food” is 100% accurate.

Service was great. All staff were amazingly nice and helpful. Food was what we’d hoped for in a Cuban restaurant. We had the scrambled egg platter with veggies. The season potatoes and Cuban toast were perfect with scrambled eggs and our favorite cafe con leche. Will definitely go back.

Home run on all levels.
Food 9.2/10
Coffee 10/10
Service 10/10 (once new comers get the kiosk figured out)
Only down side is limited seating inside this location. Otherwise all around excellence.
10/10, would go back and go out of the way to do so

This place is such a mixed bag. The coffee always awesome. The cuban sandwich fantastic. I recommend the chicken empanada over the beef, unless the ropa empanada is available. The fruit jelly filled pastry, not a fan. I went with a plate today trying to be healthy swapped out the rice for “roasted” vegatables and onions, not really roasted and very plain, like a freezer blend of corn carrots and green beans. The meat black beans and maduros awesome. Good enough that it keeps me coming back lol. Delivery is pretty quick.

I’ve always enjoyed the food from this restaurant, but after today’s experience, I can no longer recommend it. I ordered a Cuban sandwich for delivery and discovered a sharp piece of broken porcelain inside the food which I actually bit into. This isn’t just a quality control issue; it’s a serious health and safety hazard that could easily cause injury or worse if swallowed.

I attempted to contact Zaza directly to report the incident, but the phone number listed was not in service. I’ve included a photo of the shard, which appears to be from a broken kitchen bowl or plate that likely ended up in the sandwich by mistake or negligence to kitchen protocol and safety standards.

I’m sharing this so others are aware and exercise caution when ordering, and so the restaurant can take immediate steps to ensure this kind of dangerous contamination never happens again.
