This location has gone down hill considerably since 1st opening. Still have plenty of staff so don’t know what the problem is. Food quality has declined. Ckn wings are far smaller & the fries are not the same or they’re not frying them long enough. They’re always limpy and not really crisp. Even when I ask for fresh fries they come that way. Very disappointing. Tried app & quality is even worse.

My only complaint is the exceptionally high prices for chicken tenders. I took 2 teens, 2 small kids and myself and spent $60, meals only no extras. Service was great, dining room was clean, food taste fine. Three had tenders one had grilled cheese sandwich, I got the shrimp and the breading on the shrimp was too heavy for me but it tasted fine.

I was in zaxbys Callahan at 2:20pm. I waited at front counter for 3-4 mins before the girl at the front counter even noticed me. She had her back turned cutting a box open. But she noticed that there was 4 cars in drive thru! Then she noticed me at front counter. She said ‘give me a minute & I’ll be with you.’ as she walked to the back. Comes back out with a yellow liquid pouch for drive thru. I waited another minute or two. A customer walked in the door & I looked at her & stated, be prepared to wait 4 mins before anyone notices you. Then the girl pops up at the register. I told her, nope I’ll take my business elsewhere.
I went right over to Juniors seafood & was greeted by someone right away! Waiting to take my order. Which btw, don’t let the word seafood fool you. They also make a great chicken (sweet Pete’s) sandwich. As well as steak & wings in Callahan.
Actually the lady that came in Zaxbys after me, showed up at Juniors as well with husband.

Very friendly crew, upfront about mistakes and making things right. The food is okay, It’s not any better than other Zaxbys and they are expensive for fast food, just like any other Zaxbys. The inside is very clean and easy to navigate and the environment feels better than a normal fast food place. Great addition to this small town.

Did an online order for zax pack. I have a large family and this would feed the children, if it was the full order. Supposed to have 20 tenders. Comes sealed with a sticker. Didn’t open until we got home. Imagine my surprise while making plates and I runs short because there is only 12 tenders. I could understand a few short. But 8? Called the place and the girl straight up lied and said she personally counted them herself. Sad sad sad. Please let the Lords chicken, chikfila, come to west Nassau.

I am using my friends account to do this review for your Zaxbys in Callahan. My name is Josh I went up to your Zaxbys around 8:30 on February 6, 2026. I had placed an order inside and Alysia decided that when my order came up she was putting here face in my food and sniffing it . I had asked her if that was policy to sniff customers food and everyone that was working on shift thought it was funny and started laughing about. I personally didn’t think that was to funny because it was my food they sniffing. The manger on duty that night also though it was funny as well as everyone else. So I just kinda blew it off and when out to my truck. Then I got really aggravated about it and went back inside and told them they could have their food back and I left. I was very disappointed in how they did everything. Thank gosh Hardee’s was open and that’s where I went.

Pretty decent food with good seasoning. A little bit pricey for what you get and you have to pay extra for sauce as well. I got the chicken nibblers. They had a mild kick to them and were pretty good. Fries were seasoned perfectly. The salad got good reviews from my co worker. Lots of cucumbers and tomatoes in it. Would definitely stop in again if I’m in the area.

Edit 6/20/2025- my salad was disappointing. The whole thing was HOT like it was microwavedm tomatoes were slimy and inedible, and it was just disappointing.
Fries were wiggly but cheese curds were delicious
This location is pretty hit or miss. I’ve gotten perfect meals from here with great portions and extra seasoning on the fries. I’ve also gotten salads with hardly any chicken, half empty boxes or fries, and funnel cake without the sauce.

Would have been 5 stars but they were way too stingy with the ketchup. They keep it behind the counter so you need to ask for it, when I did she gave me two packets. I looked at her like she was crazy and ask for more, then she gave me two more packets. At that point I gave up and ate my fries dry. Other than that it is a nice new location and the food was prepared well. The serving size appeared to be smaller than the location on Commonwealth, but was still plenty of food.

Callahan FL location was a bad experience. The young girl at the counter, I believe her name was Nora, was very good, very polite, and very alone. There were 3 guys in the back and I believe the other female was doing drive thru. The crew lead or manager appeared lazy and playing, example, I saw him on two occasions, throw either paper or food, through the window, at the guys in the back who were also more worried about having a good time (laughing , jumping, and wearing Zaxby’s bags as a cape) instead of processing food and getting the food correct. Our food sat for 12 minutes on the counter next to the crew lead or manager, he never once did anything but look at it. The young girl at the counter was busy taking orders by herself so she couldn’t get it ready for us. Need some retraining of staff and include training on customer service and professionalism. Great job Nora.
