This location has been getting worse over time. I used to go a lot, but the quality and cost started leading me to choose other options. More recently, the quality of service has gotten pretty bad.
I checked the website and the door, which both stated the inside was open until 10:00. However, when I went inside an hour before closing, the staff didn’t acknowledge me at first. Then, someone very loudly told me the lobby was closed and I had to use the drive-through. I even triple-checked the door on my way out to make sure I hadn’t misread it.
The drive-through experience wasn’t any better. I was never able to finish a sentence because the person on the speaker kept talking over me and interrupting to ask for parts of the order I was already saying. I have a low, quiet voice and often have to repeat myself at the box, but when I tried to clarify the last part of my order, the person rudely interrupted me again. At that point, I just gave up and told them to forget the order.

We go to Zaxby’s quite often & our food is hot and fresh & tasty every time! Amber Dowdal took care of us last time we were there & she gave the best service & made sure we were very well taken care of! We have been coming to Zaxby’s for awhile and we can tell the difference in the entire place because of miss Amber Dowdal!

Overall good food. Service was friendly. I had combo 3. 5 wings with 3 chicken fingers. I upgraded the drink and fries to a large. Price was $12.29. A touch pricy. The “Buffalo” wings were just average size, not really that big. And the chicken fingers were a bit smaller and scrawny. Everything tasted okay.

I ordered some friend pickles for delivery, I spent over $20 and I only got maybe 10-15 pickles. Other zaxbys fill up the tray. Get your employees in check.

Zaxby’s in Clayton offers good, tasty food that’s served hot and fresh, and the staff are friendly and attentive. However, the cleanliness of the establishment could definitely use some improvement. The Coke Freestyle machine, in particular, was in serious need of cleaning, which was a bit off-putting. Overall, the food and service make for a decent visit, but I’d recommend they pay more attention to maintaining a cleaner environment—especially around the drink area.

Ate there today at noon. They appeared to be understaffed however, the cashier was running the show and was cool as a cucumber. I’m sorry I can’t remember her name but it started with a T. (Tammy or Tonya I think)
She is a true asset to this restaurant. I think there was only one person in the kitchen as well, but they were pushing out hot good food quickly.

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. Gross kitchen staff, eating while filling orders, licking their gloves and continuing to prepare meals. Barefoot customers, nasty bathroom, mold ALL OVER the coke machine that you HAVE to touch in order to use. Regret not taking photos! Most disappointing and disgusting visit to any restaurant. So, we came to Chic Fil A instead. HIGHLY RECCOMEND THEM!

I love Zaxby’s. It was a joy to experience when I would visit siblings in Georgia. Then I lived there for a while. Now I’m back just visiting. The Clayton Zaxby’s lives up to the chains reputation. The staff here was fantastic- super friendly, fast, and accurate. The tea and sandwich were to die for, and though their fries aren’t my most favorite they definitely were cooked to the company standard. I couldn’t ask for a better experience as one. If stopping by, definitely pay the Clayton location a visit.

I loved the French fries. They put some sort of seasoning on the fries. It was really good. They chicken was comparable to chick Fil A. I wish we had Zaxbys in Ohio near My home.
