There’s a Chick-fil-A opening soon across the highway amd you are going to be hurting .
To begin with, I would like to highlight the quality of the food, which was excellent. The tea was fresh, the chicken was tender and juicy, and the salad was crisp and well-prepared.
Areas for Improvement:
However, there were several issues with the order that I believe need attention. First, while I understand some people may enjoy buffalo sauce on their salad, this was not an option I had requested, and the amount of sauce was excessive. It was impractical to remove such a large quantity from the salad. I even double-checked the receipt, as I was taken aback by this mistake.
Additionally, our order was incomplete: we were missing a medium Dr. Pepper and an order of fries. Fortunately, I noticed the missing drink and was able to address it before leaving, but unfortunately, I did not realize the fries were missing until later. This oversight left us with an insufficient number of straws—just one for the drink I had to correct on my own.
Finally, we had paid for an upgrade to a medium-sized drink, but instead received a small “kiddie” drink. While I understand that working in fast-paced environments can be challenging, the overall attention to detail and care put into fulfilling this order gave the impression of indifference and a lack of thoroughness.
I rarely give a rating below a 4 or 5 Stars; and I have never given a rating below a 2 Star. I also rarely comment on poor service, because I realize most organizations aren’ fully staffed.
Reasons for poor rating.
1. Sign on the door “Cash Only”; no problem we had cash;
2. A rigged temporary soap dispenser in the men’s restroom;
3. When we get in line to order a customer said “I hope you aren’t in a hurry.” This didn’t bother us because we had some time;
4. I purchased a medium Coke, but 75% of the soda options in the dining room were out/unavailable, I had to ask them for a soda from the drive thru;
5. There were no straws in the dining area; so I had to request one from the drive thru;
Not done yet, I had to save the worst for last.
6. The reastaurant was filthy nasty. Trash on at least six vacant tables, trash cans over flowing, a blue rubber glove in the hallway to the restrooms; and a rubber glove by the trash can. Everything thing just appeared neglected for a very long time. My daughter even joked “it looks like a crime scene.”

I’m not a big fan of Zaxby’s in the first place, and I know I will never visit this location again.

EDIT:
The manager has refused to send me a refund unless I drive all the way back to the store. I live 45 minutes away and have explained how difficult it would be to make that drive just for a $12 refund. I asked that she simply send a gift card for the $12 since I paid in cash and they refuse. I have seen other retailers do this before with no issues at all, but she refuses to budge. I just want my money back. I’m not asking for anything more than my $12 refund. I don’t understand why that’s such an outrageous task. I have had to send multiple emails to them just to receive one response, and the response is always “you’ll just have to come to the store”. This service is one of the worst I’ve ever seen.

The restaurant commented below my review and told me to follow the attached link to discuss my experience. I already did this the first time (with no solution) but decided to try it again, given that they commented on my review. I will update when(if) I hear back.

A manager reached out to me and stated she was passing my info along to another manager on July 6th. It is now July 25th and I have yet to hear back.
