Fab, the manager, called me and apologized for customer service and the tacos that I had received. He was determined to make it right and he even went as far as letting me know his schedule so that he could make the tacos himself. That is dedication and outstanding customer service. I am big on customer service and have much respect Fab. The atmosphere was even better. The tacos were fresh and tasty! I added pictures of the tacos I received today, a big difference.

This Zaxby’s was a hot mess! The girls that were working there on Sunday evening (08/18/24) were very unprofessional. The customer service was horrible. I watched a man order his food for dine in and they still packed it to go. The girl did not call his name or number, she just said, “here go yo food”. Another girl was in there leaning all over the counter on her phone. I really wish I could have gotten their names (which I looked for but they were not visible) because they do not need to be working any job that requires customer service, especially when they are dealing with food.
I ordered through the app and the food I received was sloppy. The fries did not have any seasoning. I will let the pictures do the talking for the “tacos”. The tenders were weird looking, the bacon was missing, and they looked nothing like what I ordered.
The lack of management presence was immediately noticeable. When I first entered to pick up my order, there was visible confusion behind the counter, but no manager in sight. Employees were standing around talking, moving without direction, and giving off the impression that no one was in charge. I stood there for about seven minutes before a manager finally appeared from what felt like some hidden back room.
The staff themselves appeared very young and completely undisciplined. One employee actually walked in complaining out loud about his attitude and saying he was about to leave and go home, as if that was acceptable behavior to announce at work. There was no sense of professionalism, urgency, or accountability.
At one point, I watched the manager and at least four other employees struggle just to figure out a single order. Instead of clear communication and leadership, it was confusion piled on top of confusion. Eventually, a second manager apparently the cook manager came out and immediately had to correct one of the cooks, who I believe was the same employee talking about going home earlier.
Overall, the entire experience felt like a zoo disorganized, loud, and completely unmanaged. Poor leadership, poor work ethic, and a total lack of structure made what should have been a simple pickup frustrating and uncomfortable. This location needs new staff and management. I so badly wanted to jump behind that counter and regulate the madness.
Stop short-changing the people who keep you in business. This was a disgusting experience.
