I normally don’t nitpick over cents, but this was about the principle and the attitude. I ordered two meals (both with wings) and was given two ranches but only one Zaxby sauce. When I asked for another Zax sauce—because logically you should get a sauce per meal—I was told it would be 25¢ each.
Again, it’s not the money. It was the way the team rushed me through the order, and the person handing me my food had a very “ugh / don’t bother me” vibe. Customer service matters, especially when the fix is simple.
If sauces are limited, that’s fine — just communicate it clearly and don’t catch an attitude when customers ask for what matches their order.

Order a wings and things Saturday night and waited 25 minutes for my meal, once I got home and opened my box it was the wrong meal. Just worked a 12 hour day wasn’t trying to go back out, so I took a picture of the receipt and food so when I’m back in that area I can show what happened. Went back there Monday to show the receipt and food of my order i was told you need to bring the receipt and food back there, I just walked out.

Ordered nibblerz meal with no Zax sauce and extra fries as it hurts my stomach, all of them drowning in the sauce. Pictured is after I scraped it all off. Did not have extra fries in the container, I was given some from my boyfriends meal. Ordered a boneless wings and things and received bone in wings. The receipt had everything correct but none of the order was.

I went their on Thursday and we ordered a 20 piece meal to feed my brothers and dad and when we arrived the people were just laughing and making jokes and weren’t paying attention. When we got our food we only got 3 pieces of chicken.

Doordasher here, I normally pick up orders at this place all the time! I just wish the lobby was open after 9pm. The drive-thru is unbearable to even attempt picking up orders from. By the time I get to the pick-up window it would have been about 20 minutes wasting time just to grab the order + having to also travel to deliver the food. I typically avoid this place after that time just due to that reason. This place is perfect, just wanted to give insight on a delivery driver that could have options for orders that have the lobby open to reduce pick up times.

A different experience. Not great but not horrible. Food was just warm and service a bit slow. We arrived after the normal lunch time. No crowd so dont understand why service took 10 minutes. Serve unsweetened tea but have no sweetener to offer guests. I guess I motivated them to order some. This is a very old Zaxby’s. Carpeting is filthy and the whole place could use a good cleaning.

I love Zaxby’s and while visiting Sumter, SC (1/31/2030) we decided to come to the one at 1228 Broad St. The food is good, but the restaurant is disgusting. There wasn’t one clean table and I was given a dirty tray with my food on it. The manager was bragging about being the manager but his place was gross! While in ATL (Sandy Springs) I ordered Zaxby’s via UberEats almost everyday for 4 months! I pray that restaurant wasn’t like this one at 1228 Broad St in Sumter, SC. Friendly staff though so I’ll change to 2 stars.
