Worst order ever place a pickup online got there to pick it up had ordered a few items food was wrong first of all salad wasn’t fresh asked for a fresh salad that came with an egg roll which wasn’t fresh young man took the same egg roll from the first salad and put it back on my remade salad. Highly dissatisfied with order and will not be returning back to this restaurant. Remind you came from Norfolk to Suffolk to get this dissatisfied food. Employees looking like they didn’t know what they were doing. My husband had to explain to them several times about his chicken order and still got it wrong. This place needs to retrain and have their employee’s to listen to the customers and read screen when orders are coming in.

So since I went to Rasing Cane’s not to long ago I randomly decided to stop at Zaxby’s while on a road trip. Yep!! I saw the sign while in southern V.A., I got off the interstate, & got something slight…LET’S GO!!

Their No.3 (With Tongue Torch sauced bone in wings, 3 plain strips, fries, butter toast, Zax sauce, & a large peach sweet tea $14.79).
The bone in wings…DELICIOUS!! Meaty, mildly spicy, I just needed these cooked harder.
The Zax sauce…LIKE THAT!! I see what y’all mean now. Savory, & tangy I dipped everything in this sauce!!
The Strips…LIKE THAT!! With the sauce. DELICIOUS w/o the sauce.
The Bread, & Fries…LIKE THAT!! Surprisingly tasty (for fast food)!! Buttery bread, crispy fries!!
The Peach sweet tea…DELICIOUS!! It was definitely sweet sweet!!
Their Fried Pickles ($5). STAMP!! Again dipped in that sauce, with a crunchy breading on the pickles!!
Their Cheddar Bites (coated fried cheese $5). DECENT. Eat these fast…they harden quickly.
Their Caramel Funnel Cake (drizzled with caramel,& confectionery sugar $3.49). STAMP!! It’s the funnel cake from the carnival back in the day, plus caramel!!

I’m really kind of between 3 and 4 stars. You get a decent amount of food for the price… but it’s mostly the fries/toast. I take some issue with the [traditional] wings. They are the smallest wings I’ve ever seen… what in the miniature chicken is going on!? Same observation with the tenders. No complaints on flavor or preparation. The staff were patient with me at the drive-thru; it was my first time at a Zaxby’s so I fumbled my order and they were gracious enough to let me correct it at the window.

On the last Saturday of every month we go to this thrift store in Portsmouth, and we always go to this Zaxby’s to have our family dinner. It’s kind of become our ritual. I always get the Cajun Club, along with the older girls. The littlest baby always gets the chicken nibblers. They have always provided the best service & we will continue to come back to this location.

This location is way better than the Hampton location hands down and I stay closer to the 1 in Hampton. But choose to cross the tunnel to eat in Suffolk. Great food and service. Oh I put my left over bacon from brunch in there. Thank me later.

I had to come back and change my review. I have visited this location and over the last few months the quality of food has drastically declined. I did my first mobile order today. I had scheduled it for a specfic time and was about 10 mins late due to a training running over. When I entered to pick up my order, it was just sitting in the bag on the counter. Not under a heated lamp to keep it warm, just sitting them. Everything was practically cold and I didn’t receive the upsize amount of fries as I paid for with my order. The size of the piece of chicken was offensive for the amount they charge for the meal. Im was extreme disappointment and have made the decision to not even set myself up anymore hoping things will get better. Hopefully others have a better experience than I did today when they visit.
Update: a coworker convinced me to give them another try. This time is was better than the last time. No complaints
