This was my second food stop of the day. I live in Center Point, so I like to spend my $$ in my neighborhood as time permits. Admittedly, the plan was to get an apple fritter or two at Pop Donuts, but they are now closed on Mondays. Zatie’s really impressed me by how clean the place was, the friendliness of the service and the way the employees reacted with each other in a very pleasant and helpful way. I got the dark meat chicken combo with yams and mac and cheese. I had to wait a minute or two for the mac and cheese to be refilled, but it was definitely a worthwhile wait as i found out once I got the food home and began to eat. The baked chicken was also really tasty. I’m assuming the yams were cooked with butter and brown sugar because they taste like the yams i grew up eating and that’s how they were prepared. It did take me a couple of meals to finish everything, but I was definitely happy to have made the stop.

This place is everything you want from a great soul food spot. The folks are great, and the food is delicious! The portions are BIG! I should have stuck with the meat and 2, but I had to get an extra side of squash. If you go, get the butter beans! They are amazing!

The food at zaties is as close as you gonna get to a home cooked meal (soul food) at a restaurant. They serve breakfast now, unfortunately I haven’t had the opportunity to try their breakfast but I’m sure it is as good as the lunch and dinner food. The staff is always friendly. It’s very small inside and be prepared to stand in line.

Tried this place for the first time today and I’m happy I did. The liver and rice was well seasoned and so tender I didn’t need nothing but a plastic fork. The portions were above average and the cost you just can’t beat it. The it that stole the show was their green beans LAWD. They were so well prepared and perfectly seasoned. I will definitely be back

If you’re going on a Sunday, pack your patience. The line was out the door but it was oh so worth it. This is a small soul food restaurant that serves huge portions at a more than reasonable price. The side selections were pretty typical for Sunday dinner and packed with flavor. I ordered the baked chicken -dark with greens, Mac n cheese, dressing and cornbread. When I tell you these greens were so good… I didn’t put my fork down until I finished. The Mac n cheese was both creamy and stretchy, the dressing was just ok but not bad and the baked chicken was AHmazing! There was so much food on the plate, the rest will be for another meal. The staff was friendly, the food was fresh and it was everything I needed for a Sunday afternoon. Try this place!!!!! We got two meals for $25 and I ordered an extra side.

It’s currently 11:23 and we the customers are standing outside waiting. They advertise opening at 11 and on more than one occasion I can personally attest that they don’t. I wish they valued customers more.

This is my second time going to Zatie’s the people that work there were very nice and friendly service was great and food was the bomb taste just my mom and grandma’s cooking even got an extra plate to go to let my mom taste it and she loved it. I’ll be coming from gadsden soon to get some more home cooking.
