I recently visited Zara’s Restaurant in New Jersey, and I’m still thinking about how delicious everything was! If you’re craving authentic South Asian flavors, this place is a must-visit.
We started with the Lahori fish, and it was phenomenal—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and perfectly seasoned with that classic Lahori spice profile. The barbecue was equally impressive: smoky, juicy, and packed with bold flavor that tasted like it came straight from a traditional grill.
The fresh garlic naan was another highlight. Soft, buttery, and loaded with fragrant garlic, it paired perfectly with all the dishes. And the star of the meal was the chicken karahi—rich, aromatic, and bursting with authentic Pakistani taste. The tomatoes, spices, and tender chicken came together beautifully.
The service was warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere made the dining experience even better. Zara’s Restaurant is definitely a gem in NJ, and I can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend it for anyone who loves flavorful, homestyle South Asian cuisine!

Our attendents were polite and accommodating. We ended with a small candle on gulab jamuns to celebrate a friend birthday! Oh and the ras malai and falooda was to die for!! This was perfect to eat before attending an incredible concert in Trenton!

This is the place to go to if you’re craving authentic Pakistani cuisine. We had samosas, dahi puree, chicken karahi and biryani everything tasted perfect along with mango lassi and garlic naans. Not to mention tawa rotis which reminded us of our home. Ended our meal with a refreshing hot karak chai. Zara Aunty & Shahzad Sb were an amazing host!

Very nice restaurant! Authentic Indian Cuisine. The location of this restaurant is hiding it’s potential. I believe this to be a hidden gem in the area! The food was flavorful and the serving sizes were plentiful. The price is a bit high though. No goat dish should be $40 and not come with sides.. 4 Kabobs, Mutton Karahi, Basmati Rice and Masala Chai and I’m paying $80! Very expensive for a lunch..

It’s a really nice and clean place, food was really tasty and my family and I enjoyed it a lot. The Lahore fish was splendid. The staff was super helpful. The interior was cozy and the ambiance lovely. Bathrooms were spotless too. Highly recommend.

I’ve been dining at Zara restaurant since it opened 3 years ago and I have never had a bad dish. I have their chicken seekh kebabs every time and it’s delicious every single time. And I must have been here at least 50 times. Their food is always a hit, and not to mention the location is very clean and a family friendly environment for our kids. And the staff are always so accommodating, the owners are so lovely to us each time. This is our go to restaurant so much so that sometimes I consider it our second home.

Celebrated my son’s first birthday here, and it was truly a wonderful experience. The service was exceptional from start to finish. The lady managing our event was so kind and accommodating! She gave us a whole private space to decorate, and made sure we felt completely comfortable with our guests.
As always, the food was absolutely delicious, authentic Pakistani cuisine with amazing flavors. The ambience was warm, welcoming, and perfect for a family gathering. Everything felt clean, cozy, and festive, which is exactly what we hoped for.

Cannot RAVE enough about this place!!! The moment I started ordering from them, I was treated with the highest level of service, truly fit for a queen❗️❤️The food is exquisite—authentic, fresh, and bursting with flavor. I appreciate how seriously they take dietary needs; finding a restaurant that offers amazing gluten-free food and happily makes items vegan upon request is rare. Mrs. K. goes above and beyond to make sure the food is safe and delicious, and the delivery service is seamless‼️ If only I could give 10 stars they deserve it & another shout out to Anas amazing delivery right to my door and his very kind brother too
The service at this restaurant is unmatched. Miss Kay was fantastic; after I mentioned my recent heart condition, she personally made sure my meal was entirely gluten-free and vegan, and even suggested I avoid butter. The resulting spinach with peas dish was delicious, perfectly cooked, as was the Scrumptious and exceptionally spiced Aloo Gobhi and I felt completely safe eating it with my health concern…

Cannot say enough about my wonderful experience on Sunday evening, I’m handicapped and my delivery driver, Anas, went completely out of his way to bring up a heavy package to my door , on top of delivering hot food was so appreciated! The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and attentive. However, the food was a bit underwhelming for the price. Some dishes were flavorful, but others lacked seasoning and didn’t meet my expectations. It wasn’t a bad experience, but there’s definitely room for improvement.

Lovely Pakistani restaurant with very high quality food. The flavors here are incredible and unmatched in the area. This restaurant has everything you can imagine and it all tasted amazing. We have been here twice now and thoroughly enjoyed. The portion sizes are large, prices are very reasonable and the owner is a lovely touch as well. We are looking forward to our next dinner here and are even more excited for a buffet. Thanks again!
