Definitely a quaint cafe worth stopping. We stopped on a Sunday morning for the first time. The menu is incredible. There was no wait for seating. And our food came out right away. The portions are really good and the food was outstanding.

This was the perfect American diner. We left the headwaters of the Mississippi and started heading southeast. We figured we would find somewhere for breakfast along the way.

Only place around me where you can get breakfast anytime! And they have eggs Benedict on the menu! It’s been a trusty place for me for years. I mostly do breakfast there. Prices are also better then anywhere..and you can add whatever you want to and omelette for cheap …my favorite breakfast place!

Great little hometown diner. Service was friendly and fast. Food was yummy! Great selection. We had fish, chicken drummies,and burgers fed family of 5 for under $50. Loved they had crinkle fries and they offered for up charge sweet potato fries.

I don’t know why it has taken several years of living up here to get to Zappys for breakfast because it was AWESOME!! My husband and I went for Sunday breakfast, I had eggs Benedict and he had loaded hash browns and both were fantastic!! There was one person serving so she was very busy but she was busting her butt and not missing a beat. Service was super friendly and very quick. I would highly recommend you give them a shot!!

My first visit to Zappy’s today was a pleasant surprise. Our server had a great attitude and was very attentive, despite the restaurant being a bit busy, and her being the only server. I wish I could remember her name, because she deserves recognition! Our food came out fast and was delicious. Best Reuben I’ve ever had, and the strawberry rhubarb pie was pretty good, too. This place is definitely worth a visit if you’re driving through Akeley!

We arrived to this small restaurant on our way back to the cities and it was pretty busy. We waited roughly 30min for our food although when we finally did receive our food it was worth the wait because the food was perfect. I had the ribs and they were perfectly cooked, my wife had the burger and she loved it. I work in the restaurant business and I have high expectations when it comes to flavor and how the meat is cooked and this place met all my expectations. I highly recomend anyone who might be driving through to stop in this place.
