Who knew you could get good Mexican in Bunkie Louisiana??? I had the steak Mexicano, but substituted catfish for steak and they did a great job. Very reasonable pricing and good service. I eat there even if it wasn’t the only good Mexican restaurant in town

Drive thru service is terrible. The worker’s just pass by and look at you without at least saying we’re busy at the moment and we’ll be with you shortly. I just drove off after being looked over so many times..

We ordered 2 beef nachos which are $10.00 a container. We literally had no cheese. They portions are getting smaller it was good when it first opened but it has went down hill. Its ridiculous.

This was our second time visiting. Needless to say we are not going back anymore. I didn’t leave a review after the first time because I wanted to give them a second chance and they failed again. My order was wrong on both visits, last visit I ended up eating my meal with nothing to drink because they forgot about me. This time was the same thing so I had to get up and get a refill myself. On this visit I ordered the beef burrito with extra tomatoes and rice, I was brought a chicken burrito with 3 small pieces of tomato. After waiting 23 minutes to let my server know that it was wrong which she came to the table next to me and never looked in my direction. So I got up and told another person that my order was wrong. After I ate, I went to the lady’s room and it smelled so bad I had to get out quick. I was so afraid of falling because the floor was so slippery it felt like there was just grease all over that’s how slippery it was. I sure would’ve died if I had to fall on that nasty floor and get hurt.
However after the extremely bad service The food was good once I got the correct order but my husband and I both agreed that there will be no next time.

Amazing service and amazing food. Yea okay maybe you have eaten at a million Mexican Restaurants but you should definitely try Zapote! The staff are super friendly and the food isn’t hit or miss, it is always a hit!
