Reviews
Update the previous awesome review. Tonight, it was bad. Not just a little annoying or off…but HORRENDOUS. And coming from food service….I can overlook a LOT of things. Tonight….nothing was okay. We will probably not be back anytime soon, there are far too many Mexican options around to support a business that simply took a night off from CARING.
Food was medicore at best, service was non-existent and not just for us. We were around two other tables that were actively writing similar reviews. After our whole table was out of drinks for nearly 10 min. I finally went to ask for help. There were a couple of “chips and salsa” employees walking g around, and one at the cash register. I asked the lady at the cash register if there is any way for us to get refills. .she politely said she would get it taken care of…..it never haopened….and we stayed another 20 min. No refills, no to go box, the server never checked on us after we got our food. But that was just the beginning. We had a play to get to at the PAC, so I finally just asked if I could pay so I could leave, because they didnt bring the check. She asked how to separate the check, which we told her but she couldn’t make that happen. She hit the screen a bunch but then had to leave to get a manager, that didnt come. Finally I just asked if I could pay for everything, which of course, was completly acceptable. And here lies the problem…..no apologies, no , “hey we were short handed, please come back” NOTHING and that is the real problem. Guess business is really good if you dont have to at least acknowledge youre having a crappy night. So for me, my group of 8, and the 1.4 million people that have looked at my reviews….please go to LA huerta, el trio, LA fiesta, Las frescas or basically ANYWHERE else until something changes here. I never expect, or really want comped food. But acknowledge that you dropped the ball. It was waaaaay past bad tonight…yet I still had to pay them $156.
Every visit to Zapata’s reminds me of the strength and resilience of these communities. The food is always delicious, and during my last visit, I had the chicken pablano dish, which was hands down the best I’ve ever had! The portion was so generous that it was three times what I could eat—a true testament to the hospitality and generosity of the restaurant.
The staff at Zapata’s are not only courteous but also warm, genuine, and kind-hearted individuals who create a welcoming atmosphere for everyone who walks through the door. They deserve so much more recognition and support for the incredible work they do.
Thank you, Zapata’s, for not only providing amazing food but for being a pillar of our community. Your presence enriches our lives, and I look forward to many more meals in this fantastic restaurant! Let’s continue to celebrate and support the diverse cultures that make our communities thrive!
I recommend!
Subpar food, actually one of the most flavorless meal I’ve ever had including the salsa. The margarita was a nice touch but even it is just mostly sugar, very generic as everything here.
It’s clean but I definitely would not choose to eat here again.
Fast food with restaurant prices.
