We stopped in Delta for dinner after an afternoon at Topaz Mountain. First and very important is the salsa and it was fresh and flavorful. We finished our first serving pretty quickly. I had the beef chimichanga and it was one of the best I’ve eaten! It was stuffed with meat, cheese, beans and fried to perfection. The service was great and it was a clean and comfortable place to eat. I would definitely stop there again and probably order the same thing!

Based on great reviews, my family tried this restaurant. Is was clean. Staff was friendly. Service was quick. At a table of locals all were eating hamburgers and fries. We ordered to-go meals of chili relleno, carne assada burrito, and chicken enchilada. Not yummy. Should have ordered burgers and fries. Those looked good.

It was so yummy! I ordered the carne asada buritto and was going to take a pic of it but I ate it to fast so here’s a pic of the chimichonga. The waitress was super nice, and the restaurant had a homey atmosphere.

My wife and her Mother in law we’re traveling around Utah and came upone this diamond in the rough of Utah. This restaurant was surprisingly delicious and for a small town, my wife wasn’t expecting greatness, but the waitress was exceedingly pleasant although there was a bit of a wait for having no one in the restaurant. My MiL got the crunchy shredded beef taco/chili relleno and my wife got a smothered chicken burrito with green sauce. They also split a shredded beef nacho. The MiL dish was cooked to perfection, allowing for a very savory and moist shredded beef, with the relleno had just enough kick with excellent flavored cheese to make the platter extremely enjoyable. The Burrito was filled with rice/beans/meat/cheese and was also just as delicious. This is certainly a place to stop if your traveling, as it is a nice clean and tasty Mexican cafe.

The service and staff were great. The portions are very generous. Hence the three stars. My husband had the hamburger and liked it. I had cheese enchilada & red tamale with rice & beans. The red sauce is tomato based, not chili based. If you are accustomed to authentic Mexican food, this is lacking in taste and heat. Oh, and don’t bother with the cardboard, I mean chips.

Essentially, everything everyone has said with the exception of the most recent review behind mine is completely invalid at this point. Clearly this restraunt has recently taken new ownership, and wow, it’s disappointing.
First off, the costumer service is horrific. The “waitresses” (who appear to be the kids of the owners) clearly have less than zero desire to work there. I get it, food service isn’t the most fun, but when “oh, thank you ma’am” is responded to with a slight unappreciated head nod, that’s pretty sad. Additionally, we were the only ones in the restaurant and it still took a long time for them to bring us our check.
Restaurant did not appear to be clean and was riddled with flys, and I certainly have no confidence the food was safe to eat. Speaking of which, the food wasn’t bad, but it was nothing special and appeared to be made from store bought materials. They even charged us more than what was advertised.
Overall, it was a pretty underwhelming experience, and they sadly no longer deserve the 4.4 star status this place used to be. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this place as a good place to stop and eat.

Yesterday I would have given 5 stars, but after the service I got today, if I ever go back and get the same server I’ll walk out. I had become a regular because I had got great service and value, but no amount of value is worth being treated like serving me is an annoyance.
A year went by and I became a regular because the service improved greatly. Today turned out around for the worse. It appears to be under new management, or I should say mismanagement. The service has gone into the toilet, they can’t even read their own menu for what is included in each dish, and the process have skyrocketed.

My husband and I really enjoy the food and are always seeing someone we know here at Zapata’s. If you haven’t been try it! Not only great Mexican food but the best burger in town.
