Great service! Great food! We were seated right away and received chips & salsa complimentary. My husband and I both ordered fajitas, which were large portions. I have enough for lunch the next day yay! Everything was so good! Thank you Zapata!

Absolutely the largest burrito that I have ever had. The California burrito was stuffed with shrimp, chicken, beef, onions, and peppers….like a giant fajita all rolled up. It was amazing. Also the best chili relleno that I have ever had. My wife had the chicken chimichangas and was very pleased with her choice. The chips are served with a bean dip rather than salsa. Delicious! And if you want salsa anyway, they have a salsa bar with at least five or six types to sample. Their menu directly states that tipping is compulsory but with the great food and service, tipping is a pleasure.

I am a delivery guy I pass this place all the time… I was so hopeful. Me and my fiance wanted to celebrate our two year anniversary somewhere new. They force tips which I love to tip… Even if it’s bad. I’ve been to so many Mexican restaurants. I’ve never been charged for extra chips… We also never got asked for refills. We watched multiple people come in and order and get their food before us. Police officers walked in got served and fed within 5 minutes…. Which I don’t mind. They are important. And we support them… But when everyone was served (4 tables) sucks…. The kitchen guy came out and said sorry our rice isn’t cooked. I would have tipped the kitchen person more… I ordered no sour cream because I have a very viseral reaction to the smell and taste and that was all over my food…they left a very foul taste in our mouths before we got our food, and trying to get a to go box was a whole different experience… I will never go back. I’d give this a half a star. I spent 79 dollars for our food. When Ilweve eaten for less at other Mexican restaurants and loved them. So never again will we visit here…

Our favorite restaurant every time we come to Hendersonville, NC. Never disappointed. Best Mexican Food in town. Totally recommended. Bathroom are very clean. And the salsa bar is a bomb many salsas to choose from.

Very good mexican on our trip to Hendersonville. Spouse got Chimichangas and I got the special nachos. Decent portions and great flavor. The salsa bar was a bonus for me. The only downside was they were a little light on the amount of chips they brought to the table but we simply asked for an additional basket. Hispanic families were eating here too. Every TV had a different station on so you could watch a couple of them at one time.

We stopped because there were not many cars. Figured service and food would be fast due to that. First, we weren’t acknowledged when we entered the restaurant. Lady at the front ignored us. Finally we were sat down by someone in the kitchen. Our waiter took forever to get our drink order. Final straw was he never came to take our food order. My son flagged him down but we were ignored. We got up and left. There were maybe 3 other customers in the restaurant so there was no excuse. We were simply ignored and the attitudes of the staff just flat out sucked.

I’ve driven by this place soooo many times. What a fool I’ve been. This restaurant is clean, the workers are friendly and attentive and the food is outstanding. Not only a myriad of choices but everything is priced reasonably, is fresh and is delicious. My sister had fish tacos and the filet dwarfed the tortilla. I had Pollo Popeye and the serving was huge! The Horchata looked yummy and must have been because many requested refills more than once. Do yourself a favor and get to this place for Great Mexican Food!

I love trying restaurants around town and when I come up here I try to experience a new one every time, the tacos were great I loved that there was pineapple on there that mixed well with the pork, the rice was great and not dry, service was great.

Portions and taste uhmm it was ok. You can’t add extra tacos or get just one to try different meats, it hast to be whole order also I just don’t think enforcing tip is good when the service is mediocre. I wouldn’t mind to pay tip if the service is good

I had the grilled shrimp served with creamed spinach, rice and guacamole salad. The shrimp were cooked perfectly. There was almost a cheese sauce overload but hey, gonna chalk this up as a comfort food day. Very filling. The hubby had the grilled shrimp with mushrooms over rice. The shrimp were large. We didn’t notice a lunch menu, which may explain the huge portions. Tecate must be popular with Hendersonville’s finest (sheriff’s dept) as there were several in that afternoon who knew the staff. The bathrooms were clean as was the restaurant. The reason for a 4 star – the restaurant needs updating.
