Some of the best tacos, margaritas and bowls we have had. It was very nice meeting Todd. You honestly can’t go wrong with anything you order. Its all so fresh and packed full of flavor. We will definitely be back very soon!

The tacos we tried were fantastic and id like to come back snd try some more. Its a convenient location and the prices are fair. The serving sizes are good. They have really good chips snd guacamole and the elotes was very tasty. We took the tacos home for take out snd traveling didn’t appear to hurt the quality at all.

Stopped by to order take out. Picked the whippersnapper, captain crunchy and the Potato drop kick. The potato drop kick was by far my favorite but the other two were good too.
Owner is a southsider, which I appreciated and love the nod to Cal Sag river on a poster. Very cute and casual vibe.
Looking forward to trying a few other tacos and dining in!

Neighborhood Gem alert!! Zap tacos fits in Park restaurant strip perfectly near Lou Malnatis, Kimmers ice cream & Ni Hao- now excellent tacos to pick!! The chips, salsa & guacamole are all perfect. The tacos are unique, based all on traditional taco fare but with culinary twists and with a filet mignon, jerk chicken, and many seafood options you got plenty to choose from. Plus many vegetarian options! I am partial to the crispy shrimp with their zap dust on top and a slaw, delicious. The jerk chicken one was tasty. Our usual taco place was closed, so we decided to give this place a try. It’s our new favorite!!! It’s not your average, traditional type of taco place, but don’t let that deter you. The margaritas were good, and the tacos were phenomenal. My husband and I each picked 3 different tacos so we could share and try a variety of different ones. Each one was delicious and unique. (They have traditional tacos, too). We got a side of elote (amazing!) and a side of beans that were also very good. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is funky and fun. I heard a lot of great songs playing that I haven’t heard since highschool- loved the vibe. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Party of 3 and we loved the art on the walls and the fun menu, the concept was just super fun! The staff was super friendly and our waitress had great recomendations! We ordered evil elotes, beans, chorizo Mac and cheese and tacos we had the vigilante, Agua taco, mother clucker and the Red skull. They were all delicious! The skirt steak was so tender, the cod was crispy and not fishy at all and the RED SKULL in my opinion was out of this world, DELICIOUS!!!!!! The margaritas was flavorful but not strong. My only suggestion would be to get the food out hotter it was room temp. The chips and salsa was delicious too. I will be dreaming about those Red Skull tacos! Zap is a great addition to Elmhurst for crazy fun tacos, there is something for everyone! Its street parking but thats Elmhurst, if you know you know.

Very cool little spot. Love the art on the walls. The food is very good and reasonably priced. The tacos are slightly bigger than a typical taco, but stuffed full of meat. You get your money’s worth. I loved the sauce on the steak taco. The Sloppy mess Taco had a ton of flavor and I highly recommend it to anyone for a first dish. I really hope this place does well because a quick Taco spot is what downtown Elmhurst needs. This is more of a Tex-Mex/American Hybrid Taco joint. Sometimes those are the best, and in this case, it’s a very good thing.
