My husband and I tried this place out for the first time today and we were so happy with our experience! They give you SO much food for your money, and offer take out containers if you have left overs (which I definitely did). Everything was super fresh, and I loved that you can customize each entree option completely to your taste! I had the chicken rice bowl which was fabulous, and my husband had the yakisoba noodles with steak and he was really happy as well. The staff were incredibly kind and the cashier was especially friendly and professional. The restaurant was also quite clean and well kept. We will be back!

I placed an order accidentally at another location and when I came into this location and they didn’t have an order ready I realized my mistake. The manager was so nice and said she’d make my order I just needed to call to cancel at the other location. When I called they told me I needed to send an email. I told this to the lady making my new order and she said she would call and take care of it for me. Very understanding and kind! I will definitely come back to this location! Thanks for giving your customers awesome service! And Zao is delicious! I’m so excited for the location to be built near me in Tooele County! I highly recommend steak salad with lettuce, rice noodles, chili lemongrass dressing, all the toppings and add jalapeño! Yumm

First time trying Zao and it was great! I had a noodle bowl with steak and yellow curry. The veggies taste fresh and the flavor is tasty! It was very filling.

Food is great. Five workers so plenty of help, but be very cautious on toppings portions. After our third visit to this location with similar results it’s obvious this is a pattern. Here is a picture of the cilantro I received when I asked for this topping. When I asked for more it was like it was a burden to add another piece so I just said don’t worry. For an $18 dollar bowl, this seems unacceptable.
When I asked to talk to a supervisor they were “on the phone with the general manager and couldn’t talk to a guest”. Ok, guess service and discussions are not acceptable either.

EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE, super friendly staff. The 3 employees who helped us were fabulous. Pretty sure one is named Grace. One had blue hair and the other had a gorgeous braid. We LOVED them. Food is also Bangin. 11/10 experience.

The family tried a variety of the options on the menu! Zao tacos with steak, soup with chicken, a bowl with chicken, and a bahn mi wrap with chicken. The side of yakisoba noodles seemed a little burnt. But everything else had great flavors! Definitely worth a visit for lunch!

Bathrooms clean, tables (mostly) clean, and quick service. Food is good as always. Would recommend the curry sauce on the salad.
