The food was great, but the chicken should be washed thoroughly inside and out, and the place should be a little cleaner; even the bathroom was very dirty. I hope they improve many aspects of the cooking. The rice needs more spices and salt. I hope to come back again and find everything even better.

Worse Falafel plate ever oil very old tasted like an old shoes… I mean they charging over $15 for the plate to go plus $1 tip and still wanted 50 cent for the proper bread and another $50 cent for the proper portion of the taking sauce…. lost my appetite before I start eating… is not like the old days

The OG spot from my childhood still brings me joy to come here and eat.

It’s been amazing seeing the growth over the years as well for the expansion from this place to the one in Burbank which is my other favorite location to visit.

This one has a special place since my dad use to be a truck driver who would deliver their chicken.

I remember coming here and the owner of the place use to always stand guard and greet everyone with a nod and ready to clean tables for the next guest.

They now have a bigger dinner area with many booths which are super comfy.

My go to is to order the family meal of a whole chicken, pita bread, hummus, Tabbouleh salad, extra garlic spread, and gotta get baklava for dessert.

I like to eat all I can so I can have some leftovers for that snack attack that creeps in later.

The staff is friendly and hard working.

There is a security guard dedicated in overseeing the parking lot which is nice.

There is street parking if it’s full.

It’s usually pretty quick but if they have a line just take a seat and know that your food is coming hot fresh and bursting with flavor.

I’ve had pretty much everything on the menu and at this point this place is comfort food.

This place would hit the spot, but lately when we order from here the tsaziki has been tasting wayy too strong garlic & it never tasted like that before it’s been like this couple times already. Also, their kabob meat has been having spice to like what. Their food seasonings has been off few times. Idk if the kitchen cooks have changed or what it is but everything has been tasting off compared to before.

i always buy their kabob plates but i tried the bowl and it’s trash. it says “roasted chicken” but it tasted boiled and bland. the garlic sauce tasted like wet towel. get the plates, they’re delicious, stay away from the bowls.

I recently visited Zankou Chicken, and it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. This restaurant is a true gem for anyone who loves flavorful Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food prepared with care and authenticity. Everything — from the food to the service — was absolutely top-notch.

The atmosphere at Zankou Chicken is simple, clean, and welcoming. It’s the kind of place where the focus is entirely on the quality of the food and the happiness of the customers. The interior is well-organized, brightly lit, and always kept tidy. Whether you dine in or take out, the service is quick, efficient, and friendly.

Now let’s talk about the food, which is nothing short of amazing! The rotisserie chicken is the star of the show — juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The seasoning is perfect, and you can taste the freshness in every bite. It’s cooked to perfection, with crispy golden skin and meat that literally falls off the bone. Paired with their famous garlic sauce, it’s an unbeatable combination!

The falafel was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside — exactly how it should be. The shawarma wraps were perfectly balanced with fresh vegetables, flavorful meat, and creamy sauces. The hummus and tabbouleh were fresh, light

I have been a frequent customer at this location for years. I always order a quarter dark chicken plate. I have had issues in the past where the chicken looked undercooked and Normandie n have brought it to the managers attention. This time when I ordered the chicken, as I’m eating it I noticed that the chicken looked not only undercooked but it looked raw in some flesh areas. I took what I had left and showed it to Josaline who was the cashier and then she showed it to Edwin who was the manager. He immediately assumed that I was trying to get another piece of free chicken when I was only bringing this to their attention to be more mindful of therally cooking your food. He offered then he said you already ate most of it and then proceeds to go back to his duties totally disregarding me. Josilane disputed with me saying well we cook our chicken therally and you can clearly see that meat looked undercooked. i threw the rest of the plate in the trash and I’m very disappointed at my dinning experience here. One time recently after I ate here I had severe diarrhea and had to stay home from work. Edwin apparently doesn’t have good customer service skills and I don’t see him attempting to remedy this so I won’t be dinning here anymore, but I will caution anyone that eats here, if you order the chicken make sure it is cooked therally before you eat it.

Sure, they have Zankou Chicken establishments throughout Los Angeles… Next to that bank which use to be a Blockbuster… But non of those places can touch this Zankou. The flavour is out of this world. Down side is the prices keep going up. Up, up…
