Family owned and operated, Zander’s Bistro brings a taste of New York right here to North Carolina. Originally from Long Island, our family missed the classic flavors from back home — so we decided to create them ourselves! Named after our family name, Alexander, Zander’s serves up authentic NY-style egg sandwiches, fresh Bronx bagels, hearty Italian favorites, and more. We offer breakfast, lunch, and full-service catering for any occasion. Stop in and see us — where great food, friendly faces, and New York flavor come together.

I had heard good things about Zander’s this past week, but prior that, I didn’t even know it existed. I knew of the building, but I always thought it was a library or a soda shop or something. I was wrong. And super happy I gave it shot.
I only got two bagels (toasted poppy with butter and plain with butter not toasted) but hear me out! This place isn’t cheap (My Brothers Bagel in Denver charges a little less) but it’s more affordable than Long Island Bagels around the corner and way better quality!
I was super impressed. The bagels are very soft so it’s very different from My Brothers Bagel but I now love them both.
Added Bonus for Zander’s is that I only got one poppy seed stuck in my teeth. It seemed like the same amount of poppy seeds as anywhere else so not sure how they do that. Maybe it’s he type of poppy seed. Or maybe it’s the dough’s connection to the poppy seeds. Might as we be talking about 7-foot midgets at this point (I’m sure they like bagels too).
Overall, highly recommended! Not an easy place to find or get to, but that’s the only negative.

Zanders catered my best friend’s wedding last night and I’m just truly at a loss for words. John and Angela worked flawlessly during preparations for this wedding and it showed. The Cocktail hour was ART – truly magnificent . We did buffet style for dinner and thank God because guests kept going back for seconds and thirds. The chicken cutlets for the Chicken Parmesan were thin, crispy and DELICIOUS – it was no shock to find out that they are from New York. I would confidently say the best Italian style caterer in the area. If you’re looking for some efficient, affordable and true quality catering for your event – book them and thank me later.

First time, really wanted to like this little place, but the $15 sandwich/chips/bottle drink combo was TINY and meh. My wife’s fries were good, but her sandwich was also very small for the price. Folks are nice, maybe the bagels are a better value, but the Italian sammy is kid-sized, check the photo.

Place is cute! The owners are from up north from what I gather. But if you’re going to even remotely sell breakfast in the south at least make sure it gives Southern…almost $20 for eggs, ONE piece of Turkey Sausage and what they call French Toast??? and a watered down ice coffee…I gave the service and atmosphere 5 stars Angela is very sweet. That’s who took and fulfilled my order.

I’ve been into Zanders many times for breakfast as my husband and I really enjoy their egg sandwiches on bagels. They are always fresh, always delicious! This past week we just ordered some catering trays of Italian food for family staying with us since we had so many other dishes to cook for the holiday. The baked ziti and eggplant parmesan were fantastic! Our family truly enjoyed it all. We will definitely be ordering again. Thanks for making our holiday a little bit easier!

I ordered the asiago bagels and they are the best I ever had. She made them fresh. A little pricey at $13 for 6, but oh well. I tried coming the next week and arrived 20 minutes before closing, a lady(i assumed the owner) told me in a somewhat rude tone she was closed. I said but it’s not 3, and she closed door right in my face. I will give them another try and maybe call ahead next time, I live 30 minutes away.
Edit: I came in again Thursday afternoon and ordered the asiago bagels and they were fabulous. Service was much better, very friendly. I highly recommend the bagels here they are super fresh. Worth the 30 minutes I drove there.

Zander’s Bistro catered my wedding, I knew it was going to be amazing…but WOW they exceeded my expectations. Our cocktail hour grazing board was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. It was delicious, so well prepared, you can tell they poured themselves into it.
Dinner??? Divine, all of my favorite foods, chicken parm, and penne à la vodka! Soooo soooo good! Communication through this entire event was perfection, Angela and Johnny were so professional and so kind! I highly recommend them!!

Tried the bagels from Zander’s Bistro today and WOW. I can’t believe I’ve been just five minutes away from this place and never stopped in. The bagels were unbelievably soft and fresh—honestly, I think they were even better than the NYC bagel shop I went to with Manhattan locals.

Being from Long Island, NY, I have been looking for a delicious New York bagel. Zanders is a newly opened restaurant, thankfully minutes from my home. I had a bacon, egg, and cheese on a sesame bagel, and one bite made me feel like I was back in my Long Island home. Pure deliciousness
