Main reason to come was to try out the carnitas. The service was really good, they were very attentive. Atmosphere was really good as well. Went during lunch time so there was a good crowd in there. It didn’t take long to get the food. I ordered a carnitas taco, adobada taco and sope de res. The tacos weren’t bad, wasn’t as much flavor as I thought it would be. The sope barely had beans or meat, which I was dissatisfied with. The taste wasn’t bad I just hoped they would have done a better serving. There was points where I would bite the sope and it was just beans and lettuce.

My mom ordered the carnitas platter. I got Gordita’s 1 Asada 1 Carnitas. We also took home Sopés to my father, 1 carnitas 1 asada. We also took home Chicharrones. Everything was so delicious we forgot to take more pictures. We will definitely be coming back!

Staff is welcoming. Food is very good. Of course, the Carnitas Special is my go to here. Homemade flour tortillas are so good. The parking can be a little tight from time to time, but it’s worth it.

I’m still fairly new to Mexican food but since my fiancée loved the leftover from this place she now wants to try the Carnitas taco plate that serves 3-4 people. I have to say it was ample food and it made me want to go back and try something else out. The atmosphere is clean and the service was good. I’m basing my review solely on the Carnitas tacos but others who I was with also express that this was a regular place for them. All these people that I was with were Mexican and all echoed the same sentiment.

Nice little spot to score some good food. Bit of a wait for my burrito but they were busy so cant fault them for that. Super burrito was delicious and salsa was damn good and flavorful. Be back when I’m in the area again or going to the zoo. Thank you

Tortillas were hand made good, can’t say much about the carnitas didn’t try .Ordered breakfast chilaquiles. Potatoes were swimming in cooking oil along with the rest of the food. The chilaquiles lacked any type of tomato sauce, pato sauce etc. It had a watery liquid like what you use on sopa. Wife had menudo. Oil swimming over it and a big white bone guess the pata ran away and dropped its meat

This is the new location of Zamora’s Carnitas, formerly on Fresno St. at 180 until a fire closed them down. Exceptional carnitas are what they are known for, but everything is good
