We always sit at the bar, and the bartenders are so nice!!
Since the Drink menu is hard to find online, I’m attaching their cocktail list as of 10/25/25. We got the Bailando (spicy, but refreshing), the Autumn Sweater (like a well-balanced sweeter old fashioned – I had 2), the Afterglow (so refreshing and basily), and the Jesus Built my Hotrod (peachy, but no so much spicy). All were delicious, but we ranked them in order as listed, if it helps!!
Our family had dinner at this restaurant today, and we were absolutely blown away by everything – the decor, the size, the service, and, most importantly, the food. The atmosphere was stunning, creating the perfect setting for an amazing evening.
Our server was simply incredible! He instinctively knew what dishes would suit us best and helped us choose the perfect meals and cocktails. Every recommendation was spot on, making our dining experience even more special.
The dishes were presented beautifully, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. You could taste every note that the chef intended to highlight in each dish. It was truly a culinary masterpiece. A huge shoutout to the chef and the entire kitchen and bar staff – your work is outstanding!
This was, without a doubt, one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in the United States. A place I would love to return to again and again. And to think that this restaurant has been operating for 25 years without losing its charm and relevance – that’s truly impressive!
I wish you continued success, growth, and a dining room that is always full. Thank you for an unforgettable evening!
We highly recommend giving this place a try. We walked from Hotel Indigo easily.
The food? Astounding.
We got the gnocchi, pork spring rolls, mussels, duck wings, duck meatballs, birria tacos, and an order of bread. There wasn’t a single thing we tried that I wouldn’t order again. I personally think my favorite out of all of them was either the gnocchi or pork spring rolls.
If you’re ever traveling here, or simply looking for a new restaurant, Zambra is a place you must try sometime.
My wife and I went for dinner and were immediately seated. When we came into the restaurant, there were empty tables and booths all around. Right after getting seated, I went up to the host and asked if we could switch which he said “of course”. He kindly offered to help move our menus/setting, for which I declined and said that I could just do it as not to inconvenience him.
From the very beginning, I could tell our waiter had some issue with us. He came over and just stood there, spoke in as few words as possible, and had this look of annoyance on his face. After ordering we handed him our menus and he took them without a word and walked off.
Fried oysters were bland and had a mediocre fry. They tasted only of plain batter that was neither exceptionally crispy nor soggy.
The House Gnocchi had potential, with flavorful soft gnocchi, but the sweet potato felt out of place in the dish. I appreciate the subtle sweet/spice of the butternut squash sherry cream, but think the dish would have been better leaning more into the nuttiness that the pepitas added.
The chicken skewer was alright, but in regards to portion size, a little disappointing. Overall didn’t stand out.
What really did stand out during our meal was our waiter’s continued attitude. We saw him serving the 2 tables next to us with the typical friendly demeanor you’d expect, smiling, laughing, meanwhile whenever he came to our table he’d have a look of disdain towards my wife and I give us this attitude like we were inconveniencing him. This contrasts entirely with the food runners who would explain dishes, and even one of the other waitresses who would stop by and fill our drinks. Meanwhile our waiter never stopped by once to fill our drinks, check in on our meal, or anything.
Maybe us moving tables upset our waiter?
Or perhaps we came in too close to closing time, despite us eating and leaving before either of the other 2 tables had left.
Or maybe he had the impression that we couldn’t afford the meal? Or had an issue with us being the only people of color at the restaurant and this was all disgust because of our ethnicity?
In total, the food at Zambra isn’t horrible by any means. I would have liked to come back and tried more of their dishes since it seemed like they really tried to formulate some cohesiveness and style towards their dishes. The atmosphere is dark and cozy, and some members of their team are very friendly. However, the sole thing from stopping me from ever returning and ever recommending this restaurant was our experience with our waiter.
If it were not for his negative attitude, rude treatment of my wife and I, I’m doubtful I would have even written this review.
So in short, this review is for you Mr. Bald Waiter with Glasses. You’ve ruined Zambra and we’ll never be back.
