By far the best and most authentic afghan restaurant in the area! Personally I love ordering the pumpkin kadu, and the chicken lawand.
This place rocks! Staff is always super sweet and helpful. Must try if in the area

Zalla Kabob House in San Ramon impressed on all fronts. The restaurant itself boasts a cool atmosphere and very clean bathrooms, making for a pleasant dining experience. But the real star is the food. They offer a wide variety of delectable Afghan cuisine, all prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The customer service was the icing on the cake – friendly, attentive, and always happy to answer questions. If you’re looking for something specific, I highly recommend their chapli kabab and lamb shank – both were absolutely delicious.

We catered banquet food from this restaurant for a large engagement party. The food was delicious, fresh, and very tasty. We ordered Chapli Kabab, chicken Kabab, beef Kabab, lamb qabali Palow, sabzi, bolani, narinj palow, Kadoo, fernee, salad, white rice. Every dish had an exquisite taste.
We also went there last weekend, and as usual the food was delicious, the service was outstanding. Balqees served us and she went out of her way to help us, and she was very pleasant.

Came here for a late lunch, the food was REALLY delicious. Their lamb dish was great, as well as the beef kebab. Their dolma is fantastic too.

What a great food, Kabuli Pulao was amazing, no smell of lamb, juicy tender and full of taste. Their beef kabobs are juicy with yummy flavor. I will definitely go there again.

Very authentic Afghan food. I love Lawand and Sabzi with chicken. The bolanis are delicious. Prices are reasonable and service was quite fast considering they had a full house.

Great tasting food cooked fresh with quality ingredients.
Restaurant is in a nondescript strip mall with a few other restaurants and an Indian grocery store, so kinda hard to find it unless you know in advance.
They give you a bowl of salad and some fresh delicious Afghan bread (served with cilantro sauce and tzatziki sauce)
While the food is tasty and fresh, the prices are a bit high compared to the prices. For example, the combination platter with a large Chapli kabab and 4 pieces of chicken kabab with a little bit of rice was $28.
The daily special was the Kofta Chalk which was 3 beef meatballs in a sauce with some rice was quite delicious and $18.
The 2 pieces of baklava were delicious and warm and was $8.
$103 for 3 dishes and baklava seemed a bit on the high side.
Friendly people though the young lady serving us was a bit difficult to communicate with as she didn’t seem to comprehend English completely.
Worth a return visit.

No one was there. Ordered take out, told me 10-15 minutes. I was there for 40 minutes. It was a simple order. They also divided one skew of kobideh into two and sold it as two. I showed them and they said its two. Kobideh is made on fire and one side of it should no look like the picture unless you cut it. This is the worst.

Yum! This place is yummy. Home style food! Great service and delicious food. I had the beef dumplings in this amazing spicy yogurt sauce. My friend had the eggplant which I tried. Again tasty. Only thing lacking is some authentic beverage like tea or some other drink from Afghanistan. Over though I would come back here in an instant.
