We stopped at this Indian restaurant less than 10 minutes from the San José (SJO) airport, and it turned out to be a very solid find. It’s located in a small strip mall, easy to access, with plenty of parking. The dining room is a good size, the service was kind and attentive, and the common strip mall bathrooms were clean and well-maintained.
We tried a wide variety of dishes: naan, roti, lachha paratha, jeera rice, paneer makhani, palak paneer, dal tadka, cauliflower sabzi, and a cauliflower appetizer. All of the vegetarian dishes were flavorful and well-prepared. One member of our group ordered the butter chicken, which had a noticeable barbecue-style flavor — not everyone loved that twist — but everything else was consistently good.
Overall, the food was tasty, not too spicy, and reasonably priced. It’s an excellent option if you’re craving Indian food before a flight or right after landing, especially since many airlines flying to Costa Rica from the US don’t offer meal options. I’d happily eat here again.

Away from home in Costa Rica for my office trip all the way from California US. when you are craving for home cooked good food & masala milk tea. You will get it here. They have a lot of choices to offer on their menu. We loved their all the food. And home made pickles got complementary. It was go to place for my dinner for 2 weeks.
The place was kept clean and tidy. Service was awesome too by Sundar. For those who want to try vegetarian recipes this is only restaurant in and around next to Marriott Hacienda San Jose.

We really enjoyed our meal here (and didn’t leave anything!!!) Super nice staff and delicious food. Get out of your lousy resort food and have fun with a lovely evening of tasty treats. DEFINITELY visit again!!!

Zaika Indian Cuisine is FANTASTIC! 10 out of 5 stars. I had the lentil soup – which was full of flavor and served at the perfect temperature, vegetable samosa with a firm yet flaky crust stuffed with warm and tasty vegetable filling, a zesty garlic butter naan and finally the butter chicken, which was mildly spicy, tender and juicy in a creamy sauce. The atmosphere is very clean and pleasant and the staff are very personable and welcoming. I will definitely return while I am here in Costa Rica.

If I could give their service 10 stars I would. My wife ordered via ubereats and our order got mixed up by mistake. The restaurant called and tried their absolute best to make it right. We were communicating over WiFi and the connection wasn’t the best, so we couldn’t find a solution to the immediate issue, and had to eat the incorrect food (very hungry after a long day of work!). The food was so incredible we immediately re-ordered some more food because we wanted to try more. Next time we are in town for work we are making this restaurant a must for a dine in destination. Their service and food quality speaks for itself. This restaurant is incredible! 10/10 stars!
