The service is consistently amazing. Our waiter, generally the same kind gentleman, is so friendly and nice.
On a recent Sunday during lunch, my husband and I ordered the special where you pick your protein and the chef brings out a variety of chef-choice items around that choice. My husband chose lamb and chicken, and I went for the vegetarian option. What arrived was beyond amazing.
My platter included a simple and delicious fresh cucumber, tomato, and carrot salad with a lemon wedge. It also featured several incredible dishes like Sahi Dall, a black lentil delight that is honestly the best thing I have tasted in an age, a delicious garbanzo bean dish, fragrant rice, a mango and semolina dessert, and tasty appetizers as well as Roti. Everything was truly incredible. My husband was kind enough to share his butter chicken with me, and I can not tell you how tantalizing, creamy, and superb it was. The color, texture, and taste are not to be missed.
We still love this place and will keep on going back for more! In fact, we loved the food so much that we both ordered an additional item: I got the Sahi Daal and my husband got an extra serving of the butter chicken. Zaika is a must-visit spot. Even if you are afraid of heat, just ask for mild, or no heat at all and they can cater to your request the majority of the time and if they can not they will let you know.:) I ordered everything mild because I’m a spice-wimp 😉

We have been here three times now, and each visit has been a treat. On our first trip, I ordered my dish medium spicy, and it turned out to be far too much for me. That was when I realized I am definitely a lightweight when it comes to spice.
The garlic naan is absolutely delightful. Their jasmine rice is fragrant and perfectly cooked every time. On our return visits, I started ordering the aloo gobi mild, and it is hands down the most delicious dish. The flavors are beautifully balanced, and it truly feels like a symphony in your mouth. I always recommend pairing it with a mango lassi. My husband orders his food medium, and whenever I sneak a bite from his plate, I immediately need the lassi to cool off. It is a lifesaver. Hehe.
The wait staff is friendly, attentive, and respectful of your space. They keep your water full, check in at the right times, and let you enjoy your meal without hovering.
The decor is lovely. The murals on the walls are simple but eye-catching, and the color palette gives the space a warm and cozy feel. The furniture is clean and inviting, and the whole atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming.
This restaurant has definitely become one of our regular spots in Kokomo. It is our go-to place for authentic, delicious Indian food.
We even brought my parents here when they came to visit from out of town. Simply wonderful 🙂 Thank you for being here.
At first glance the price seems expensive, but everything we got was large enough to share. We just sat everything in the center of the table and picked at it like a feast.
That, plus everything was just delicious. So varied and full of flavor. With a taste for every pallet. Sweet, spicy, savory… So good.
We had Chicken Biryani, Chicken Tikka Masala, Garlic Naan, Samosas, Chicken 65, and some cheese sticks and mini corn dogs. Everything was awesome! We will be back often and we live over an hour away. Definitely worth the drive!
** Do not forget Dood Pati Tea **
Awesome indian dishes options. Their “thali” options are the best option with lots of items to try at a very reasonable price.
I ordered non-veg thali. Each item cooked to “indian perfection”. Delicious and Mazedaar.
I will be back again for more “Indian Zaika”.
And finish the meal with “dood pati tea”, that is, hot tea made with milk and spicies.
Just so you know, “Zaika” means “Taste”.
Enjoy!!!
