Our family doesn’t eat out a lot, but when we do this food truck court is one of our go-to’s. One of our preferred trucks is a couple down from Zach’s, and we always have commented about how we need to try it. We finally did tonight, and man what a great spot. Price was very reasonable (myself, my wife, and 2 young kids fed for $33) and portion size was great. Zach was also very personable, and our burgers were made fresh.

Mac n cheese and beans were great but the ribs, brisket and pulled pork… a whole different story. The ribs were tough flavorless, the brisket is like chewing on a piece of rubber and taste like it was boiled not smoked and the pulled pork tasted old. We paid $50 for our dinner and still had to find something else to eat because this was just inedible. Will not go back or recommend to anyone. Portion sizes are great but not worth anything if it’s not able to be eaten.

Absolutely incredible! Zach’s Smoke Shack serves up amazing portions and even better food. Everything is loaded with flavor, perfectly cooked, and genuinely some of the best barbecue you’ll find in the area. The portions alone make it worth every penny, but the taste seals the deal. If you’re in the Post Falls Food Pavilion, do yourself a favor and grab something from Zach’s—you won’t be disappointed!

My ribs were dry and chewy but my wife’s were delicious. The baked beans are okay, a little bit smoky which I like. The macaroni and cheese tastes like Kraft macaroni and cheese so nothing special there. The pulled pork was pretty good and the brisket was good. My favorite was the barbecue sauce however my wife did not like it.

Happy Update: I’m glad my hungry Wifey hit this truck. I had a ‘less than’ experience here a while back, so I usually look for other vendors to try when we visit the Pavilion. Hey, I’m man enough to say they did great this time, and I’m glad to report that. She got a sampler platter for $20, and it was quite, quite robust. Meats were great, and so were all the sides. And they had Dinosaur Eggs available today; a nice savory treat for $4 a pop. Looks like the Zach-ster has it rollin’ now. Nice job…
A near total letdown. Pics and reviews on Google Maps were tantalizing. Very limited menu on a beauty Sat afternoon should have been a red flag, but I was determined to try. Double Bacon Cheese was the only appealing item. Only one guy in the shack, and the first words out of his mouth were, ‘Gonna be at least 15 mins.’ Sure, okay. I darned well wish it was only 15 mins–it was closer to 30. Crazy thing was there didn’t seem to be any actual cooking going on inside the trailer? Just the one dude standing around inside? Some old guy showed up, walk in the open door, washed his hands, and then friggin’ left! Weird to say the least. The only redeeming thing was the burger was reasonably priced, but the patties suuuuure looked pre-fab. The dude was apologetic when I got it, but by that time it was lipstick on his pig…

Not a dry bite to be found here today. We ordered Zachary’s platter and dug into bite after bite of deliciousness. Amazingly the Mac and cheese is made with actual cheese and not processed liquid dyed milk whey garbage. The only criticism for our palate would be the mesquite baked beans where a tad sweet. Would highly recommend the full flavor and value.

Zach did such an amazing job! The pulled pork and tri-tip was perfectly smoked. The beans were out of this world and the mac and cheese the best I have ever had! Definitely would recommend!

Love this food!! Zacks Platter I think is what I got. And holy smokes is it amazing!! Zach is such a great guy, makes you feel like you’ve known him for years!! Oh and those Beans, I would eat those every day mmmmm!
