I ordered takeout from Zacatecas Mexican Restaurant, got the sopes meal, nachos that were listed at $11 but had an additional $8 charge for asada and a tamarind water. My total came out to $41 for just those 3 items.
Was the food good? Yes.
Was the price ridiculous? Also yes.
For the amount I paid, I expected more. At least transparency on the charges. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this place.

Nice little restaurant. Huge portions; I don’t remember what it was called, basically fajitas with a mixture of meats. Pricey at $23. Soft drinks are served from cans for $2.

Cute little spot we found while passing through. Food was very authentic and delicious. Would highly recommend. The staff were also very friendly, fast, and efficient. Got to meet the owner and she told us this month marks their 10th anniversary!

Just ordered my family food and they have extra charges for everything. My wife got chilaquiles listed at $9 and they charged 8$ extra for steak and $4 for egg. I ordered my kids a “mini burrito” for $5.50 and they charged $2.5 extra for steak and when I received it it was basically a a single taco dinner. I ordered my self a steak burrito listed at $7.50 and they charged $2.50 extra for steak. When I received my burrito it’s basically all topping only 20% of it had actual meat the rest of it was all sour cream and a little bit of beans and cheese making it unbearable to eat. I wasted $46 for this horrible food. If I could request a refund I would. Please do not eat here. Save your money and go somewhere else.

The complementary sauce they gave with the chips was tasty and spicy. The michelada was a bit too sweet for me. They put too much chamoy in it. The service was just okay. The server took a while to get to the table. I did not get a menue, she seemed lost. The place had about 6 tables, so it wasn’t busy. The sauce in the chilaquiles was tasty, and the chips were crunchy the way I like them. The meat was really greasy.

Used to like this place but now that they may be busier, they are lacking a thing or two. They’ve messed up my order before and gave me credit for the dish but not before blaming me for not ordering correctly. Didn’t do a review. Said, it is what it is. It happens. This time I ordered two waters. Large with no ice. Aside from having changed their cups they decided to short me? A cup generally gets bigger towards the top meaning more liquid is required to fill it. So did someone drink out of both of my drinks or do they just purposely not fill drinks to the top even though they have a lid? Is this the new norm?

Pretty decent. Tacos were super full and worth it. All the food came out fresh and pretty fast. Second set of chips were warm. Salsa tasted marinara like with the oregano. Place was a little dark inside. Nice and cool inside for the summer.

Well originally craving for Mexican going to franchise Pepe’s but unfortunately I couldn’t make it there because I am around the vicinity in Franklin Park by just tires to get a wheel alignment and it’s going to take him almost the entire day since I came late around 11:00 a.m. and was craving for Mexican food specifically Pepe’s franchise but had to look for a local Mexican restaurant in Franklin Park in this was given rating reviews. It’s a decent Mexican hole in the wall Mexican restaurant locally in Franklin Park. That’s the three stars I don’t know why it’s considered the best? The corn chips they bring out to you with the salsa was okay especially the tortillas it wasn’t the freshest but it wasn’t the worst it was good now they’re guacamole that I ordered extra was very fresh that I give them good credit for if not great thank. I know this is not true Mexican eating tex-mexer fajitas but I do give them a decent credit on the beef, shrimp and chicken combination fajita with your standard mole sour cream and that fresh guacamole I liked. I usually don’t order sodas but I went for the jarritos lime soda which was what I was craving for. No fried ice cream like Pepe’s but went for the flan instead which was also delicious and fresh but nothing unique or out of this world. Staff was a super attentive and quick delivering the food price wise a bit expensive especially for fajitas getting up to $20 was expecting a little more but it’s satisfied since I’ve experienced other Mexican restaurants generously giving a lot more in fajitas. Otherwise to summarize a good decent hole in the wall local Mexican restaurant but not something I would be obsessed going to since I don’t consider it the best but at the same time from the other hello Yelp reviews trying to say it’s the best would be an overstatement but it’s decent and good. Note beware if you are paying with credit card they charge an SVC or service charge that shocked me. It was $1.78 more which I didn’t understand because they already gave me the bill yet when I was submitted my credit card to pay my debt I saw like a difference in the cost. I had to dress the cashier about that and I told them despite that they have a sign up in front about that on credit card payments they should put it on their receipts.
